Need quick advice!

Okay, so here's my situation... My husband and I are leaving for WDW tomorrow morning. Our current reservation has us staying at Boardwalk Inn for the entire eight nights of our stay. However, I have recently begun toying with the idea of staying at AKL for the last three nights of our trip. I've bounced around, gone back and forth on the pros and cons of this. Now, here I am, the night before our trip, and I'm still debating! I thought-- why not throw this out to the Disney peeps?

So, between eight nights straight at Boardwalk Inn vs. five nights at BW and then three nights at AKL, what would you do? Why? I'd particularly like to get people's thoughts on transferring resorts. Is it nice, with an eight-night trip, to go to more than one place? Or, is it nice to get settled someplace and stay there?

I split our trip last year b/n the BW and GF and didn't particularly like it, although I think that was more because I frankly was disappointed in the GF. I've stayed at AKL and enjoyed it, although I do remember thinking there were a lot of kids. And Boardwalk's location is unbeatable. But AKL has Boma and Jiko and those are great restaurants.

Okay, so now I'm just verbalizing my internal debate. I'll stop.

Any thoughts/comments/advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

P.S. Yes, I checked: AKL does have availability in a savannah view room, and I have it on a courtesy hold. So I have until 10pm tonight to make this decision.

That's a real tough one! I've done both scenarios you have listed, and I had a great time with both. Sometimes its nice to move resorts half way through, and it's also nice to be settled sometimes for the whole trip. I think maybe with 8 nights, I would stick to the one resort. If it were 10 nights, I might go for the split. While it isnt exactly a hassle to change resorts, it does take some of your time out of a park day. You can still check out Boma after a trip to AK.

Whichever you do, you cant go wrong. Have a great time! :)

I'd say go for it. :D Of course, I love AKL so that may have some bearing on my opinion. :lookaroun

You shouldn't have a problem working out with Guest Services so that they move your bags to your new room while you're in the parks. The only thing that you would have to worry about is packing, check-out and check-in. If I were making the decision, I'd give it a go.

Enjoy your trip!

Show of hands...

How many of the rest of us are just a tiny bit envious of this "predicament"?

I'd go for the switch. Have an adventure!

Go for it. Disney will transfer your bags for you making the move next to effortless.

AKL is a great resort, IMHO it is the best on property.

Have fun.

I would make the switch. But I would also say that since you said you have stayed at AKL before is there another resort where you have not stayed?? I like making the switch to try something new. Have you tried WL,Beach Club or Poly.
Whatever you do you'll have a great time....and yes I'm envious.
