Need opinions

Okay, I need some opinions. I was lucky enough to get a PIN code. I have until the end of January to make a decision but I am torn - I just don't know. The last time I was there it rained, no, actually it poured almost the whole time I was there and I left there feeling like I did not get a vacation because of it. It was incredibly eerie walking around Epcot with almost no one there. I am thinking if I do use the PIN I would try going in May, the week before Memorial Day. I have a bad feeling it will be Star Wars weekend then so I need an opinion on that. Also, I usually stay at WL but am thinking maybe I should try someplace I have never been. If I decide to go, how is the Yacht Club? Opinions or suggestions?

Unfortunately rain is a part of the deal if you go to disney. But it can certainly be off-putting. We went once and it was 30-50f the whole week. Made me never want to go back. But of course we did.

We love the WL. Stayed at boardwalk last time and it was fun too. Want to try yacht club some time!

Try for the first 2 weeks in May. The crowds are a little better. If you do not want to do Star Wars weekends, just do DHS during the weekday instead when it is not operating.

I've been early May... greatly enjoyed it. Manageable crowds, good weather (I think it may have rained once in the evening) and The Flower and Garden Festival was an added bonus.

The further you get into May... the busier it will be.

The WL is currently undergoing a pool refurbishment (addition of a splash pad) and 'recently' refurbished rooms that make it awfully tempting to us.

The Yacht Clubs pool (Stormalong Bay) will also have been refurbished, no additions just refreshing, by the time you go.

In terms of Room Quality... I'd vote WL over YC at the moment. The BC is currently undergoing a refurbishment and the new rooms are gorgeous... though you're chancing room construction and an unfurbished room by staying there. The YC and BCV are rumored to be next in line.

Tough choice for us... just in terms of 'best bang for your buck'. We'd probably vote for an Epcot Area resort (and most likely the BWI) due to the location.

I will say we wouldn't 'force' a vacation just because of a pin code. I've found them to be about 5% better than general public codes... a savings for sure, but nothing to sway me specifically to a time period/extra trip.

We love the yacht club. Our fav hotel if you're epcot lovers like us. As for the pin. I loved it. Saved from having to take out my wallet every 20min.

We've been twice during Star Wars Weekend and just avoided HS on the 'special' days. We still had a very manageable and enjoyable time at the rest of the parks during our trip! We go in the fall now, but I do miss Flower & Garden.

Yacht Club is an amazing resort. Full of charm, the best pool, and of course, the perks of being within walking distance of EPCOT and HS.

I don't mean to hijack but could you tell me what a PIN code looks like so I know what to watch for? I keep receiving the mailers that look board-game themed with discounted rate. However there is no code to enter so I assume that they are just targeting me for a return trip. What should I look for regarding a PIN code?

The email (or snail mail) will say here is your PIN Code, followed by a number. You have to enter the number online to get the discount or tell the CM on the phone your PIN code number.
