Need help planning Magical Gathering

So I am in the very beginning stages of planning a family trip for next June or July. The family consists of myself, my husband, my mother and 16 yr. old sister, my Aunt and her partner, and possibly my 2 sisters in their early twenties (they haven't decided whether or not they're gracing us w/ their presence as of yet). I have been price hunting by myself, but was looking for some pointers. I looked at Villas and rooms all of us could fit in, and it does seem cheaper, but spending a little bit more might be worth it if it means we won't be breathing down each others necks 24/7 for a week and half long trip. Obviously, there will be only 1 male (my husband) and a lot of estrogen floating around (hehe:hammer:), so I think some space may be the best bet. I don't mind the 'Value' Resorts, but I would prefer something else. Also, we may be there during the 4th--Do prices go up around that time or anything...

Thanks ahead of time for your thoughts/advice :)

I just got back last night. We were 15 people. We did a few rooms at POFQ and LOVED it. Our rooms were all close together which was nice. I had looked into villas at the very beginning, but we thought the exact same thing that we would all want some individual space. I highly recommend FQ, the resort was small, rooms were nice (a bit bigger than the values) and the bus service was excellent.

I second POFQ. Nice and cozy for a group trip. I highly recommend seperate rooms for the trip. If not even just for your husbands sake. :ROFLOL: We all love our family's but hey there's a reason we only have Thanksgiving once a year. (I am just a comedian today) Seriously seperate space has saved many family vacations. Can't wait to hear about your plans.

thanks! We stayed at POR on our Honeymoon, I was thinking of staying there or POFQ! Plus, you can always take the ferry if you go to DD for a night on the town (which my mid-twenties sisters will love)...Thanks for your help! Will keep you updated...:animwink:

You might contact Kingdom Konsultants. We have used them for numerous GG, smaller ones 12-15 and larger one 36 people. They get you the best prices and can help you get your meals lined up. I agree with others who have said go for the rooms instead of the villas. You will appreciate the space!

Make sure you pick at least one day as a 'theme' day or 'color' day. Then take lots of photos! Our group of 36 opted to do "St. Louis Cardinals" day one day. We got lots of comments and loved the photos.
