Need help on Tickets and Annual Passes

Need some expert help. We are thinking of buying a 3 day pass from a discount retailer, but it is not undercover tourist. This is thru my work and and will get about $25 additional discount. My main question if we decided to convert to an annual pass can we and what would we need. Or do they just take whatever the cost of a 3 day pass and subtract it from the annual pass price. Need some of our experts here to help us sort this out.

i am pretty sure that they will credit gate value, not discounted rate.
we always buy from undercover tourist and often add a day, we are credited full amount for our tickets and only pay the difference of adding the day.
i assume a work one is the same deal

It will depend on a couple of factors. Some of the discounted corporate tickets can not be upgraded. Typically a ticket that can not be upgraded will say "Comp" on the back. If the ticket is able to be upgraded you will get at least what you paid for the ticket, but I have heard that if you use the ticket to enter a park and then upgrade it, you will get its full, gate price value. I have never personally done this, but it is worth a try. Just be prepared to pay the difference between what you actually paid for the ticket and the current price of an AP.
