My family is going to disney in August for 1 week. We are a family of five 3(17,28,28) adults and 2(6,9) children. Usually we are a family of 4, we have stayed at POFQ, CRB,WL, but we are bringing husbands cousin. Is there any standard room that can accomodate us? We would like to stay at either Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, or Animal Kingdom Lodge. These are the resorts we would really like to stay at, can you book a bunk bed room at WL or AKL and have 5 people in it.Contemporary resort says you can have 5 people in their rooms. If it is not suitable we will get 2 rooms at a moderate, but really had our heart set on these resorts. Any suggestions?

First, welcome aboard.

You cannot put 5 people in a room at the WL...we tried. The youngest was 3 at the time & we were told she was too old for a crib. Ended up with a Jr. Suite (bedroom with 2 queen size beds & a sleeper sofa in the livingroom.$$$).

The Contemporary & Polynesian rooms hold 5...2 queen size beds and a day bed. We have used these in the past & they work out well for us. There may be others, but I'm not sure. There are many people here who will chime in. Enjoy your trip.

Wow, i can't imagine 5 to a room. Once my brother and I were 6 or 7 we always got 2 rooms in out-of-the-world resorts or a Moderate Resort. One bathroom just wasn't enough for 4 people, especially when getting ready in the AM, etc.

Anyway, other than that, I don't know your answer.

Heading for the great escape.
I have three kids and accommodation has always been an issue. We have stayed at POR with the youngest on a roll away bed. It wasn’t a problem. Last year we took a cabin at Fort Wilderness, much more room but then a good bit more money. POR was more than adequate for our needs and despite some initial concerns it kind of added to the holiday all bunked down in one room. As for Bathroom chaos, well there are two sinks and a shower. But Our plan was that myself and the middle kid were always up first dressed and washed wed head to the food court and fill the mugs and get food while the others got ready. And despite living with 4 females there was still plenty room for all our luggage.
