Need directions Airport to Downtown Disney

I need some help with direction form the Orlando Airport to Downtown Disney. I have been there plenty of times and know how to get where I am going, but it is by feel and not so much names anymore. I need to give directions ot my brother and sister-in-law who will be joining us this time for our trip. Here's the way we always go and I need route numbers and direction if possible:

Leave Airport and travel on a toll road I know it is the bee-line expressway (528 maybe). We always go away from Disneyworld signs and go toward I-4. We take this until it hits I-4 and travel towards Tampa (North?). Once on I-4, we always get off at the exit where the crossroads is, you know the one with the Taco Bell, Goodings, etc. We then turn left at the first street (name escapes me) and it heads down past the hotels and then Downtown Disney is on our right.

Any help on names and directions would be most appreciated. Also, if you know the amounts of the two tolls, that would be great. I would spread lots of REP if we had it, but just know I really apprecite it.

This is the same way I go to Disney too.

-Take 528 W (Beeline Expressway) to I-4 West
-I-4 W, Get off Exit 68 which is 535 North Lake Buena Vista (bear right on exit ramp, you will make a right at light at end of ramp
-Get in left lane right away and make a left at next light (Hotel Drive) you will see big disney signs
-Drive all the way down to end of roadway bearing to the left at the Marketplace
-Downtown Disney area is about two or three traffic lights, make a right turn into parking lot

If I recall correctly, one toll is .75 and the other .50 on the beeline, best to have $1.50 in quarters to speed the trip, since not quite sure on the second one, it might be .75.

No way! That is definitely NOT the way to go. Why would anyone want to get anywhere near or on I-4 at any time day or night? Here is the fastest, least traffic route. Take the South exit out of the Airport toward 417. You'll be on Boggy Creek Road. After 3 or 4 miles you'll see the signs for 417 South (the Greenway). Take 417 South to Exit 6. On the way there will be 2 tolls of $1.00 each. Upon exiting just continue straight on that road (536) through the International Drive light, the 535 light and past Marriott World Center. You will then find yourself passing through the Disney World arches. Get over to the right lane ASAP and take the first exit after the arch. Bear right. This will lead you past Typhoon Lagoon, West Side, and right into DTD. You can't go wrong with this route. :animwink:

Good website with driving directions from both Airports to various main sites. Pick the one you want and look at the bottom of the map that is displayed for "Picture Route Driving Directions are available for this route" which will give new visitors an even better idea of what to expect as it has photos of the key points of the route.
Did you miss the web links off deliberately  Post the links - I'd love to see the photos (its the nearest thing to WDW I'm going to get for 15 months)

I generally make a few stops before I even get to Disney, like having lunch and Belz Outlets on International Drive and Premium Outlets, so this is the way I go and in all the times I've driven that short distance on I-4 I've never had a problem. I now have it down to a science when I leave the Hertz rental car place so that I don't pay any tolls at all.

As far as not going on I-4, how long of a trip is it from the airport. I can generally get from the Airport to Disney World in about 20-25 minutes. I have never run into any traffic issues, but we always come down on a Friday night or Saturday morning, and then leave on a Sunday night. Thanks for the excellent directions, 2,000 rep points coming your way (think of them as points from Whose line is it Anyway). Only 3 more days!

My route will also take 20 - 25 minutes, but this will always be the case. I've been on the short I-4 leg sometimes for 30 minutes alone. Then add to that the time on the Bee Line +++. :)
