Hey everyone! I was just wondering, I am going back to Disney World in November but this time with my little cousins. One is two years old and happens to be turning 3 during our trip. Now here is the question, 2 year olds get in free, do they check ID information to see if your two old is 2 because they do get in free? Will we get charged for the days after he turns 3? Sounds like a dumb question I know but I am worried we may have to bring extra cash just in case. Can anyone help me?

Disney will not ask for any type of proof of age documents for a child under 3 they will simply take you word for it.

It probably falls under the same category as the whole value season thing. If the first day of your booking falls in Vaue season, the entire stay is booked at that rate, so if your cousin was 2 at the start of his visit, he will be 2 for the entire stay. I've never seem them ask for proof of age anyway.

Actually, techincally... if he is over three for any portion of the trip....he's supposed to have a ticket...but no...they won't check...

Most of the height restricted rides have minimums that MOST children will not hit until age 4 at the earliest... So I really think that Disney's age policies unofficially kind of include a year long grace period where they won't reallly question you... I think if they see a non-paying child qualifying for heigh minimums on Splash Mountain they might get suspicious... but a 2 year old that turns 3 during a trip is not suddenly going to be taking advantage of all kinds of rides that he couldnt go on two days earlier... at 2 or 3 they are still pretty much in the same boat on what they can and can not ride... KWIM? I wouldn't stress out about it over a few days grace...

WDW goes by the age at time of check in. If he were to tell a CM that he's 3 you simply can add on that he turn 3 yesterday, etc.

We were told by a Disney Travel Company CM that they go by the age they are on the first day of your trip...it does not matter if they turn 3 during the trip. But we were told this a year ago, and sometimes things change...but I doubt very seriously if they would change this. It would be too confusing to keep up with. I would call Disney to make sure.

Incorrect.

Correct. This is official Disney policy. The age on the first day of the trip is considered the age for that one entire trip. So you will in no way be "getting away with anything" once the child turns 3.
