Packing for our 7 night cruise this week and wondering if I need a jacket for semi-formal night? I was planning on dress pants, shirt and tie but song want to be too underdressed!

A tie for formal night? I don’t know if this is because I was on a Carnival cruise in August but I think you may already be a little overdressed. Honestly I don’t think a full suite is necessary. I would say what you have there is fine. On Carnival for formal night we didn’t even have ties.

For a semi-formal night I don't think you would need a jacket. Some people have jackets but some don't. It just depends on your preference. I'd recommend the jacket or a tux for the formal night though.
Thanks! I'm packing a nice black suit for formal night and will wear it again for Palo. Just wasn't sure about semi formal night!

No tie for semi- formal night, but I do wear my suit pants, long sleeved shirt.
