WE had some good onion rings from the 50"S Prime Time Cafe but they don't beat the ones we get at home from our local fried clam shack.

I'm actually really curious to see if anyone has any good recs. I LOVE a basket of homemade onion rings...ya know... something that looks like this...
The only onion rings I've eaten at WDW were 50s (see below)...
They weren't bad, but they also aren't the way I prefer my onion rings.

Agreed. The 50s Prime Time ones look like something you can get at any American restaurant.
Speaking of onion rings, I haven't had them at WDW but I think these ones at Cookes of Dublin look pretty good.
But above all, I'm thinking Flame Tree BBQ for onion rings as my go to spot.

Agreed. The ones at 50s were just a step above fast food or grocery store style onion rings...i.e. mass produced style. The pics I've seen of the ones at Sci Fi look very similar to 50s, so I don't think I'm going to even bother. The Cookes of Dublin ones @jw24 posted look more like what I'd expect from a US restaurant boasting homemade onion rings. IDK, maybe I've been living in the south so long that I have higher onion ring expectations.

Beaches and Cream..great rings in an old time soda fountain atmosphere...with really tasty burgers and shakes as well.
I made the " Bloomin Onion " once..Actually looked better than it tasted..
