'Prince Caspian', the sequel to 'The Lion, The With and The Wardrobe' has been delayed by several months.

Initially scheduled for release at Christmas 2007, its release has been postponed until mid 2008, for the lucrative North American summer cinema season.

The added time would give director Andrew Adamson, who helmed the first film as well as both 'Shrek' movies, more time to complete the effects-heavy project, according to a spokesperson for Disney, Dennis Rice.

'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', released during Christmas 2005, became a huge hit around the world, grossing an estimated $742-million to become Disney's most successful live-action movie ever.

Based on CS Lewis' famed children's book, the film featured actors such as Tilda Swinton, Jim Broadbent and Liam Neeson, while the central roles of the four Pevensie children were played by unknown child actors. The quartet are expected to return for 'Prince Caspian'.

If the reason stated is true (although I heard there was another reason) then good. People can wait another 6 months.

Although they better start trying to film some scenes at the same time for the last movie if they want they want some of the kids to age correctly.
