Narcoossee's

Hello All-

Couple quick questions for the knowing audience out there:

1) I've heard Narcoossee's is a great place to eat, so we made rsvps so we may be able to catch fireworks from there. Is there a way to get a good view ahead of time or Ask when we arrive? I think this may be a "special" trip, so I kind of want that part to be special. Any thoughts?

2) Also, I've never stayed at All Star Music and used the Magical Express. Is there a way to go from there to the Grand Floridian or do we cab it?

Any insight as always is greatly appreciated!!!

Take a bus to MK and use the monorail or boats on Seven Seas Lagoon to the GF, a cab may be faster however. I would do the boats to the grand Floridian and the monorail back to MK because it will go straight to MK, but leaving MK to GF will mean a stop at the Contemp, TTC, and the Poly before you reach the GF. But definitely do the monorail at least once!

No need for special seats. Most everyone will go outside on the deck surrounding the restaurant to watch wishes!!

As far as transportation, go to MK and take the boat to the GF. It's so much faster than the monorail. And less crowded. The first stop is the GF right at narcoossees.

Beautiful! We have 7:50 rsvps so hopefully we can hang around till the 9 pm show, just means I will have to try out a couple drinks..oh well!

We will definitely do the boat from MK to GF. I knew there had to be a way but I had never done it.

Thank you for your advice

With 7:50 reservations you should definitely still be around for fireworks. Most signature restaurants take a couple hours from start to finish. Enjoy!

If wishes go at 9 that night, you won't be near done. Plan on 90 minutes to 2 hours at narcoossees
You're going to love it!! And feel free to take on a few extra drinks. That have some unique beers

I can't wait now. The plan was to hang out until the fireworks but after seeing the menu and the beer list, I think we are going to be fine. I just hope we can see the fireworks even if we are still eating. I've read where they lower the lights and pump in the music, so I hope we can take advantage of that.

Thanks again - sounds as if you are a big fan of Narcoossees, which is great to hear as it will be our first time there. The reviews are great and personal advice (such as yours) confirms it.

Even if you are still eating (as we were in February) just step outside to watch. Feel free to take your drink. I plan on doing the same this July!!

Coach, I am right there with ya. I was planning on taking a couple long bathroom breaks and watch the fireworks..lol. But, they must realize people are going to want to see them. You will have to post on how this works in July.

It won't be an issue at all. It's not a large restaurant. You will be surprised how many people will go out with a wine or glass of beer to enjoy wishes. In fact, our server told us to head out a few minutes early to get the spot we wants at the rail. Be sure to go on an empty stomach. The soup and apps, dinner and dessert are great. And as I mentioned, a nice beer list.

They do the same thing at Cali Grill at the Contemporary. They dim the lights and pipe the Wishes music into the restaurant (not sure if they do this exact thing at Narc's though..) But a lot of people will go out onto the deck at CG and watch Wishes while others just stay inside. We had a great view of the castle so we stayed inside.

Ive heard of the Cali Grill doing that but its closed till August I think. They won't even take rsvps for October so thats why I started researching other places to eat and see the fireworks. Everything I've read on Narcoossee's has been awesome so I'm excited to go. I can't wait to check this whole place out - music, food, drinks and good views.

Between watching the fireworks and possibly the SOX in October (via the cell), could be a busy dinner!!

We ate at Cali Grill last May and Narc's in September. Both were really good but I enjoyed Cali Grill much more! We're also trying to get an ADR for Sept at CG but nothing yet. Hopefully we can get something when ADR's open up!
