Narcoossee's Dress Code

Hey everyone. We'll be visiting Narcoossee's for the first time this trip and I wanted to get some input on the dress code. The added wrinkle is we head to MNSSHP after dinner so we don't want to be overdressed for the evening and dont want to go back to Saratoga Springs to change.

I essentially wear khaki shorts and a polo with sneakers to the park each day. That seems to fit the dress code but I want to make certain I'm not skirting the dress code.

My fiance is more concerned about how she should dress. For women what is acceptable? She's worried that she should wear a blouse and skirt can't wear a nicer short sleeve shirt and capris or something similar.

Any advice from people who have eaten there would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What you guys are planning to wear is perfect for Narcoossee's. It fits well in the dress guidelines and matches what we've found the average patron wearing there. It's one of the more casual signature restaurants, so you won't feel underdressed.

Last time we went I was happy they have a dress code- all the guys with us wore khakis and a nicer-than-tshirt shirt. Women, myself included, wore a light super casual skirt and a non dressy top- just no shorts and tees basically. When we walked in, we were seated right next to a couple in a jacket and tie and tea dress, and on our other side a big family rocking matching tye dye shirts and jean shorts. So it seemed not as heavily enforced as it should be. I remember the guys being mad we made them put on long pants in the summer when half the restaurant looked like they just walked out of Typhoon Lagoon.

That's been my experience there too. Even back when the dress code specified that collared shirts were required and certain footwear (flip flops, sneakers, etc.) were prohibited, enforcement was lax at Narcoossee's. even back then, you weren't the odd man out if you were wearing shorts, a t-shirt and tennis shoes. Now of course t-shirts are allowed in the dress code and footwear isn't mentioned at all. It's kind of like as long as you're not in a bathing suit and pajamas, they'll let you in. But I still tend to dress nicely for my own personal comfort. I think business casual works for most signatures, or golf course attire (polo, dress shorts, etc.) for the more casual places like Narcoosee's and Flying Fish.

From my experience at Narcoosse's and California Grill is that the dress code is not enforced. The three ladies in my group wore dresses to Cali Grill because we were celebrating a birthday. We saw everything there from other people in dresses, men in nice pants and dress shirt to a man in a tee short and cut off jeans. Personally I think it's a little sily to have a dress code if you don't enforce it. At Narcoossee's last fall I wore a sundress and my mother wore dress capris and a nice shirt. Nothing too fancy. Sounds like what you guys are planning for attire will be fine.

I'll usually wear khakis, loafers, and an oxford. In recent years, that's formal for us and a nice change while on vacation. You'll be fine based on our past experience. My wife and I had a similar discussion the other night about our trip in December. We have a reservation at 6 PM, and MVMCP tickets. The discussion was about dressing for dinner and going back to change (we are at CR so it's a short monorail ride), or going more casual and straight to MK.

Ask for a table by the windows. The view across the water is great!

If you're worried, drop a bag with casual clothes off at MK prior to the party and then change when you get there to MNSSHP. Just a thought, we did the same thing when spending the day at Epcot and not wanting to head back to POFQ to change before MNSSHP. Sure, it costs $7.00, but it says you some time.
