That's too bad. I've had theirs and the one at Starring Rolls, though it's been a while since both and I can't remember the differences, though I do recall them not being the same.
I had one from the new place, it is actually more authentic. It is WAY less sweet and that has gotten some complaints. But the one thing I always hear when people get back from France is they are shocked at how little sugar they use in their pastries.
I actually preferred the new version (well, not the price increase). I like the more custard-like cream, and now it has a vanilla/chocolate swirl "frosting" rather than just powdered sugar.
