Nails at WDW?

We are going on a 2 week trip this summer and I was thinking it might be nice to have decent nails for the trip. When I try to paint my nails, no matter what I do but what I do in terms of prep work, comma nail Polish tends to peel off within 48 hours. Base coat or no base coat. Wipe with acetone, buff nail, polish will still come off within 48 hours.

I've heard that gel nails might be the way to go? Do they last 2 weeks? I don't want to have to bring a whole arsenal with me to remove the nail polish halfway through the trip when it starts looking horrible.

I only tend to wear fake nails once a decade. I'm not the biggest fan of what they do to my natural nails, but in all fairness I have never had them professionally removed before so that probably the problem. They also make it hard to work work and do normal life because I'm not used to longer nails. But in this case it's not a problem because I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks.

Anybody out there go to Disney for longer periods and had some sort of manicure that held up? Or should I just give it up? I finally have my adult acne cleared up, my braces are finally off so my teeth look great again, and I just thought it might be nice to have fun with finally being in photos. I spent about the last decade avoiding them like the plague.

Before the world changed forever I wore hard gel with gel polish and they lasted 4+ weeks. If you go that route they must be professionally removed. While things were shut down all I could get my hands on was dip powder which lasted me 3+ weeks doing it diy. IMHO dip is pretty easy and will last if you prep and clean your nails properly which will involve minimal damage to your natural nails if done properly. All that being said I always bring an emergency nail repair kit with me anywhere I go on vacation. Edit buy good quality products as in don't buy off the shelf from Walmart;)

I've never tried dip before. Maybe I will see what Ulta has and try that now, and see how it holds up before the trip.

Ulta doesn't carry that Kiara Sky is a good brand along with Young nails and IGel. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kiara-Sky-Mini-Color-Dip-Kit/207992707 is a good starter kit.

All you need to add is a nail file, sanding/buffing block, cuticle pusher and nail brush. BTW regular polish with a good top coat will last 2+ weeks over acrylic including dip

Sorry, stupid question. But in all fairness I'm really stupid when it comes to nails. Make up I get, nails not so much. When you say normal nail polish over acrylic do you mean getting the acrylic/tips and then using normal nail Polish on top of them?
