I have two kids under 3, how is the Plus Dining package work?

Also, for kids under 3, is there a charge for HDDMR?

Thanks for the help

Those under 3 do not participate in the Dining Plan, as they do not pay for rooms or for park admission. It's either OOP or they share your food.

We had the DP this past Dec and our 2yo ate free most of the times.

At the table service restaurants, we ordered food for her from the kids menu and were not charged for it. At buffets, we got food for her from the buffet, ordered a drink and didn't have to pay. For counter service, you have to pay for their food if you order something for them or they can share.

As far as I remember, we never paid a single penny for her meals except counter service. This may not be a written perk, but just something that they do at the nicer places. Keep in mind that we utilized the DP to the fullest. :D

Well, we are going in September so I will report back and see how the plan works. My Brotherinlaw's family is going with us and they have two under 2 also, so I am sure we will see just how far we can go...

From Deb's site...

"Children under 3 do not need to purchase the plan. At table service restaurants, there is no charge for children under 3 who share from an adult's plate. However, if you order from a menu for a child under 3, you will be charged the menu price. At buffet and "all-you-care-to-eat" restaurants, there is also no charge for children under 3 who share from an adult's plate. However, if you order from a separate children's or ala carte menu for a child under 3 (rather than eating from the buffet or all-you-care-to-eat offerings), you will be charged the price reflected on the menu. At counter service restaurants, you will be charged the menu price if you order a meal for a child under 3."

I'm pretty sure they do charge - or at least we were charged... my DD is only 8 months but we she loves table food so we ordered veggies and applesauce off the kids menu's from lots of places - and we were always charged for them. Maybe it was b/c you had the dining plan - but I'm pretty sure you pay for anything other than the buffets. :)
