Hi everyone,

I was just reading another post and clicked on a link, but noticed this advertised at the side of the screen:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007Z9QWG/ref=pd_ecs_d_m_a/102-4287072-3299369?v=glance&s=dvd&n=

Disneyland - The Secrets, Stories and Magic of the Happiest Place on Earth. No release date either....

I know this should be posted in the appropriate section, but thought it was important enough to post here so everyone would get a look.

Sorry if it is old news/posted elsewhere! :brick: :o

I think I read on Ultimate Disney DVD that this is coming out on July 12.
I think it's supposed to be quite comprehensive, but not as "special" as the "Treasures" dvd's. I also think that there are retrospectives of both the old and new Mickey Mouse Clubs being released the same day in celebration of the 50th.

It's discussed in the latest (and last  ) Disney Magazine.

Disney Magazine said:
The foundation of the Secrets, Stories & Magic of the Happiest Place on Earth DVD is a 90 minute documentary. Loaded with recollections by the Imagineers, designers, and artists who worked with Walt to create Disneyland, the documentary is full of firsthand accounts of what was considered by some at the time to be "Walt's Folly."

Imagineers recount the story of Walt preferring the castle facing backward and talse from the Museum of the Weird. The idea for the museum was to fill a walking area with strange things found throughout the world. Unlike one of the finds--a talking chair--the concept didn't have legs.

Also on the DVD are segments on attractions that didn't make the cut and ones that are no longer there. And when you're finished watchin all that, a trivia game will test your new Disneyland smarts.
The release date given is July 12.

Ok! Thanks for that...

I too subscribe to the Disney magazine, I have not had the last issue yet, as it takes ages to reach the UK...:brick:
