Pre-Trip My Wonderfully Magical First Ever August '15 Pre-Trip Report!

:):):):):):)
Hi there everyone! My name is Hope; long time looker, first time poster.
I mine as well tell you a little bit about myself and who's going with me on this trip! First of all, I'm 20 years old and live in SE Massachusetts. I'm a student working on my accounting degree by day and i'm a sales associate at Kohl's by night.

(This is me, waiting for a dinner party before the Epcot fireworks)

About half of the vacations I've been on so far to Disney have either been with my high school's marching band or a local show choir I was apart of. With both, we were able to go backstage and received a bag of goodies to take home with us! Really nice touch on Disney's part. In the marching band, we were able to march down Main Street USA multiple times in both the afternoon and night parades. With the show choir, we got to take a private dance class with a lady from the Voices of Liberty at Epcot backstage (even dancing with Minnie)! One of the main reasons i'm so excited for this trip is because i'm paying for my part all by myself. It's a nice feeling for me to say that I've planned and paid for this vacation all on my own! Although going on my own would be nice, I decided to ask a friend if he'd like to go too. Cue my friend Matt:

(He's on the right)

Matt is 19, and he's going to college for music education. He's been around music, theater and Disney for most of his life. As you can see, he's as much of a Disney fanatic as I am (AND he can sing!!). He's also been on the marching band / show choir trips with me, so he's curious to see how it'll be like without other people making decisions for us.

And here's our Disney information so far!!

-Flight leaves at about 5pm, we should be there around 8pm on August 15th.
-Check-in at Disney's All-Star Music Resort
-7 days in the parks
-Check out on the 23rd (for Matt) and the 24th (for me) of August

I'll post my ADR's and day schedule when I have more time! Feel free to ask any questions! I hope to see if I can complete this!:happy::happy::happy:

Great start to what will be an awesome trip. Doesn't it feel different since you are paying your own way to Disney? It is a proud step in the ever changing life of becoming an adult :p. Following along.

Yes, it really does! We are so used to going with at least 75 other kids our age all wanting to go on different rides, so it's nice to just have one friend to spend the vacation with!

So here are my ADR's & our proposed schedule so far! We wanted to do at most six TS reservations for the both of us; didn't want to go too overboard on the food.

August 15th - So like I said before, we should be arriving around 8pm @ MCO. This gives us a 930-10pm arrival to ASMu. No ADRs this day, but it should be like a DTD kind of night.

August 16th - If you knew me, you would know I am DEFINITELY not a morning person. Because of this, I have never seen the morning show before MK opens! My goal this trip is to utilize most of the EMHs that I can handle, and we both agreed we would start and end our vacation with MK. That night, we have reservations at BOG for dinner at 4:45pm. Matt has been there before (he LOVED it) but I didn't get a chance to try it out last time.

August 17th - We'll be up early this day, for an 8:20am breakfast at Tusker House! Matt's favorite character is hands-down Donald Duck, but mine is probably Goofy. Again, I've never been here (especially before park opening) so this will be fun! Hollywood Studios has evening EMH that night, so we'll hop over there later that day.

August 18th - Epcot has morning EMH, so we plan on hitting up our favorite rides (Soarin', Test Track and Spaceship Earth) before we go over to Blizzard Beach. I haven't been on Summit Plummet in a few years (although it definitely hurts!) so i'm excited to go on this again, but not excited for the line :arghh:! Now if you really REALLY knew me, you would know I watch Seeyareelsoon on a weekly basis. If you haven't heard of them before, I HIGHLY recommend checking out their channel. Joe and Ashley post weekly Disney vacation videos, which holds me over pretty well. Because of them, we got the idea to try the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!! YAHOO!!:happy::happy:

August 19th - AK has morning EMH, so our plan is to spend most of the day at this park. Our original plan was to spend the evening at HS, but we don't really feel like going three times in our vacation. So from our friends Joe and Ashley, we got the idea to try out the campfire & movie over at FW! Don't know which movie they'll be playing, but we love all Disney movies!

August 20th - Morning EMH over at MK! We'll spend the first half of our day over there, and head over to HS for the evening EMH. We have a reservation at 50's Prime Time Cafe for 3:30pm. Matt's philosophy is that we'll have our dinner a little early and then hit up rides while people are eating at dinner time, maybe having a snack later at night. We let both of us pick our own restaurant of choice to try, and he chose this.

August 21st - We don't have anything to do in the morning for this day. I might convince Matt to take this as a "let's just sleep in and relax by the pool" kind of morning. Good idea, right? ;) That night is Epcot evening EMH, so we'll head over there for my choice ADR! I've always found the San Angel Inn intriguing where it's placed near The Three Caballeros ride, also the dark atmosphere too it (and who doesn't love mexican food??!) We have a reservation here at 7pm.

August 22nd - Like I said at the beginning, we wanted to spend our first and last day at MK. Once again, i've never been to CP before, so we have a reservation there at 8:40am.

August 23rd - Bittersweet day as I say goodbye to Matt for now. He's flying out of MCO to Richmond to visit family :cry::cry::cry:. This means that I get this day all to myself. I don't know if I want to catch a Mears bus to Universal (I am OBSESSED with anything Harry Potter) but i'm kind of uncomfortable going on my own. So I might just walk around my resort and go to DTD.

August 24th - I'm finally going home. No reservations this day as I have to catch my ME at 3 IN THE MORNING. This won't go too well for me, but i'll get over it.

Anyone have any reviews on BOG, Tusker, Hoop-Dee-Doo, 50's, San Angel, or CP? I'd love to hear your opinions! :) And again, I don't mind answering any questions you might have!
