My trip report part 1

Hello everyone, I just got back from a great week at the world. I stayed at All star sports, and encountered many kids on their senior trip, but that didn't bother me. So on to the Magic Kingdom. I went there the first day I was there, and it was empty, I walked right on Pirates, and I must say it was very dark (although the 2nd time I rode it on an EMH night it was a lot brighter, and I could clearly see the set, and clothes on the pirates had been cleaned up nicely (It also closed right on Schedule on May 1st) Some people have said that the Jungle Crusie looks bad, but I thought it looked great (I was also surprised of how much of the jokes I remembered "that's his girlfriend Ginger, be careful Ginger snaps, she's one tuff cookie" priceless) SM had a 30 min wait, so I grabbed a fast pass, and headed to big thunder which had a 15 min wait. I hit the HM next, the hanging corpse looked wonderful, very clear to see. In the doombuggies the audio was cranked up real loud, almost ear piecing, also the first scene were you go up the hallway, and the eyes on the pictures follow you, was also very bright, but the rest of the ride ran very well (when I was there for EMH's it was much dimmer in there, looked nice) So on to SM, it looks like the thorns could use some new paint, and the water canon that goes off is crazy now. I got soaked when it went off when we were heading for the little lift inside that shed. The hoping rabbit did not work either time I rode, and the splash at the end of the big drop was very little. On to fantasy land, Peter Pans flight, now I have always not cared for this ride, but I must say I gave it a chance and went in with an open mind, and it's a pretty good ride, I also used to bash Snow White too, but that wasn't too bad either. MP was nothing less than spectacular (IMO it is the clearest of all the 3D shows at Disney) I stopped at PPS to just check it out, and I must say that place is extremely small. Over in tomorrow land Buzz was running smoothly, COP was great, but the theater I was in had all old chairs that were either ripped, or didn't shut right. The Dad looked good, but I think he's too shinny, he looks like a big plastic man. Also I noticed that the scrims to the right, and left of him (the ones they light up to revile the Son, Mother, Daughter ect...) when the scenes would rotate, you could see them rubbing against the scrim. In one scene I thought the scrim had a little rip in it. Last but not least Space Mountain. One word, horrible. You could see the whole track the waiting area is so dated, IMO gut the ride, and give it a new track, and new cars, or just rip it down, and put something else there. Over at MGM, Muppet vision was great, the only thing I really noticed that the one old man (Slater, Woldalf) the short one with the mustache, his mouth was not moving when he was talking, but all their movements looked good. GMR, one of my personal favorites, was a 25 min wait, and ran very smoothly. Well, all except for the Wicked Witch, the smoke effect wasn't working very well, and you could see her rise, and descend clear as day, her movements, although they always were a little jerky, seemed even worse. RRC was good, but the lights were too bright. TOT was excellent. I know it's the random drop now, but when the lights go out and your about to drop, our car shot up real fast, then dropped us. Also, I never noticed that when they drop you for the second, or third time you see these ghostly figures. Has that always been there? All, and all I had great trip and got to meet a lot of people. Oh, I also went to TL for the first time on Friday morning, and it was empty. I went on Crush'n Gusher 7 times in a row, and tried all three slides (my favorite was the middle one, I can't remember the name of it, coconut something) I also stopped a BB just to ride Summit Plummet. Well, part 2 (Epcot, and Animal Kingdom) of my trip report will have to wait until some time tonight, or tomorrow. One last thing I went to Disney Quest for the 1st time, I don't think I'll be going back, unless I can play NBA Showtime the whole time. I also tried the virtual Jungle Cruse, and I almost threw up, talk about nauseating :hurl: Thanks for reading:wave:

Ghostly figures on TOT, huh? Never heard of that!

Thanks for sharing the info...I have heard they are revamping SM although I agree, it needs more than a few smoothouts.
