So I have been home for a few days since I got back from Disney. I was only there for 2 days but we still managed to get a lot of things done.
Tuesday- I flew in and my girlfriend picked me up. We went to the Florida mall, DTD, Olive Garden, Pin Trading and the Magic Kingdom. I dont like what they did to Pirates at all. I could see putting Captain Sparrow in one of the first scenes, but then him coming out of the crate and the last whole scene went to far. Sorry, I dont think it was a good idea to change the ride based on a movie. I did like the projection on the mist though. We didnt do to many rides in MK rather we walked around.
Wednesday- Got up and went to the Salsa sale in the Epcot parking lot and then went to Epcot inbetween the raindrops. We managed to stay all day because we got fastpasses for Soarin' and at the sametime we got a suprise fastpass for Living with the Land, which I thought was really cool. We walked around World Showcase and shopped in Mexico and Italy, rode Maelstrom, pin traded. We spent the day at the park and it was really nice to do so. We saw Space Mickey and Goofy, but didnt have a camera on us.
Thursday- Got to Epcot at 5:45am for the cast pin sale thinking that it started at 7, but it really started at 8. We were one of the first people in line. They had some cool stuff but nothing I went crazy over. The line was probably 4 blocks long to get in with people just standing....it was madness.
After that we went back to her place to go to sleep again. Then we were going to go to DTD so that I could then catch Mears and she would go to work. Well the rain came and killed that idea. I had to leave most of everything in her car and ran to Planet Hollywood to keep dry and stood there for 90 minutes....this is where the fun started.
For the record I used to take Mears before ME started, and for the most part I was happy. I called Wednesday and got a shuttle from DTD to the airport and they told me it was 18 bucks. So I am standing around and this guy is yelling across the parking lot to me from a taxi. It turns out to be my "shuttle." I get in and apologize for not getting in right away, although I shouldnt have, but I try to be nice. He then goes on saying how he is right and that I should listen to him. Being from Chicago I dont trust cab drivers. We get into the airport and we start fighting because I told him that I was only paying him 18 bucks because that is what I was quoted, the fare was actually 41 bucks. He then "misses" my terminal and drops me off at terminal B instead of A. So now I am mad. I take out 15 bucks and throw it in the seat next to me, gave him a proper goodbye, and took off. I got to my gate about 4 hours early and called Mears. I tore them apart relentlessly for a good 10 minutes. I rarely ever get mad and I sure dont make phone calls to companies about anything, so this was a new one for me. Now I am agasint Mears and will never take them for anything ever again.
I took this trip pretty easy because I will be going for a week in Jan. I more or less was walking around thinking about what I want to do in that week.
