Besides shareholders profit and CEO and what ever we complain about here are some theories on what’s going on.
1- The Disney corporation doesn’t want to give them a budget for a light parade because that can’t trust them not to break it which leads into many other topics
2- Do to Disneyland’s last minute 2 month run that could be a goodbye and there sending it to Disney World because they can’t trust them with a newer expensive parade
3- Disneyland took their parade back because they couldn’t even trust Disney World world with that.

Disney World breaks everything that’s why the corporation doesn’t give them the money to replace anything high tech or fix anything that isn’t projection or screens 😝😝😝😝🤪

Unpopular opinion: Parades are overrated and more trouble than they’re worth... particularly at Disneyland where the park is already so cramped.

Or you can just go with the obvious. WDW is waiting to see how long they can get away with cheaping out and not running a night parade.
What is even more upsetting is that some people actually defend the absence by saying the MK doesn't need a night parade because its logistically impossible to run it along side HEA due to the latter being so popular. As if MK has never ran both parades and fireworks together for basically its entire life.

Right. They did it forever. The parade would be at 9pm or so and the fireworks around 10pm or when the park was done. It worked perfectly.

I'll defend the absence because honestly Main Street is a death trap during any parade or fireworks. I've been to enough nighttime entertainment on Main Street that ends with a pile of people shoved together from the castle to exit and it is a mess. Disney has a capacity limit for the MK, unfortunately they don't have one for Main Street. I'd love for them to bring back a nighttime parade but not before they figure out how to handle crowds on Main Street.

What kills me about the parade thing at WDW is it would seem that very little to zero thought was put into designing parks with a parade in mind. The routes, crowd management, etc. all look like they are shoehorned fit into a space never really designed to support them.

Smack me over the head for this, Hollywood studios should get the light parade. As much as I hate to say it the only 2 good nighttime shows they have had were Scorcery in the Sky, Fantasmic and Symphony in the stars.
