My October PTR

This will be my first pre-trip report (and when we get home my first actual trip report).

I’ll give a little background on us. It will be me (Bill), then DW (Meagan) and 2 DS (Steven-13 and Nicholas-10). Meagan and I are getting married in September and it was her idea to do only a 3 day getaway after the wedding and actually do a family honeymoon type trip in WDW with my kids. The kids live with their Mom during the week but I have them every weekend so it works out great and my kids love my fiancee (and vice versa). Here’s a picture of us.

We’re going in October from the 22nd to the 29th staying @ POP and be on the DDP. This will be my first trip not during Christmas time since 1996 (which I barely remember) so I’m looking forward to the music and “regular” Disney. My fiancée has only gone during Christmas time so she’s looking forward to it as well. My fiancée has been to WDW 7x, I have gone 3x and my kids only once (but I’m the WDW freak). I’ve been there in’96, in 2007 my ex and I (yes…while we were divorced) took the boys for their 1st trip and I went in Dec 2009 with my fiancée (where I proposed on Main St USA). My kids didn’t go on that trip because their Mom was supposed to take them in Jan 2010 (but didn’t) and my oldest just started middle school so we didn’t think taking him out of school was a good idea.

My kids are beyond excited to be going back. I cannot begin to tell you how elated I am to have them with us. This will be our first trip to WDW for the 4 of us together. I’ve been there with the kids and with her but never at the same time…..CAN’T WAIT!!!! I’m sure I will shed a few tears once we emerge from under the train station knowing I’m there with all of them together (especially my boys again). My youngest was almost 7 when we went in ’07 and he doesn’t remember a lot (which is sad) but my oldest remembers everything! We have planned everything with them and we chose restaurants together (some they loved in ’07 and wanted to do again and others we wanted to try). It’s been a lot of fun for me to include them in the planning since they are older now.

Our plans are:
• Sat 10/22…..Arrive @ MCO @ 5:55, taking the M.E. to resort for dinner.
• Sun 10/23….’Ohana for the Stitch breakfast then to MK for a few hours and then will be going to DHS for Fantasmic.
• Mon 10/24….MK all day. Tony’s (for lunch) and the Cosmic Ray’s for dinner.
• Tues 10/25….Epcot all day. Coral Reef (for lunch) and Liberty Inn for dinner.
• Wed 10/26….Off day!!!! Cap’n Jacks for dinner meeting with CM friends and shopping @ DTD.
• Thur 10/27….AK all day. Flame Tree for us for lunch and the boys want to eat @ Restaurantasaurus and then Planet Hollywood for dinner.
• Fri 10/28….. DHS all day. Not sure for lunch and then Captain’s Grill for dinner @ Yacht Club.
• Sat 10/29…. 1900 Park Fare for breakfast after checkout, to MK for a last go ‘round and then who knows….(leave for Albany @ 6:55).

(we made all our ADRs and got every single time we wanted) and booked the trip with Richard @ Kingdom Konsultants who was absolutely fantastic)
