I have just sporadically created a Magic Kingdom lost rides website. I plan to add the other parks in the near future when I get loads of free time.

Anyway currently it's not much of a site, but I'd like to post the link anyway.

Please visit and post what you think of it so far. don't worry it will VASTLY improve and quickly too.

Good start!:D

Although I'd be careful when you say 20K is the most missed ride, them's fightin' words to a Toad Fan.:lookaroun

I just added Mr. Toad to the site and Horizons. But I really don't have full descriptions of the storylines from those rides -- just general info.

Hey Kevin,
I understand that you're site isn't quite done yet, so I am not ripping it apart, but there are a few things that you could probably add quite easily that would help enhance your site.
First, you need to make it a little more visually appealing. While the pictures do add to it, you need to add some sort of color to the background and it might even look good if you changed the color of the text. You know, kind of spiced things up a little bit.
Second, I highly suggest putting on each page links to all the other pages, especially back to the home pages. It is quite frustrating to keep having to push the back button. Or worse yet, having to reload your site all together.
Other than these few things I think it is an excellent start to a great site. (Duh, of course it's great, it is about Disney! :D )

By the way, I don't think people are mad because certain rides aren't on your site, I just think that they are giving you ideas. There's no need to be defensive. They are just trying to help you out. :)

Edited because of my own stupidity

Good start. Just remember to use a code that enables you to make major changes to site design as well as refine the current design.

You should also ask for donations of photos of the old rides.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will post all updates I make on this thread. Right now I'm working on visual appeal, and yeah.

DOES ANYONE HAVE PHOTOS OF OLD RIDES that they will let me use?

Go through the photo albums, see what ya like, and then politely ask people if you can use their pics...

Three words...

Mickey Mouse Revue

It was my fave show at WDW back in the day.

Also, just a suggestion, I'd rename the page WDW Lost Attractions as not everything listed is a ride. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people call shows (like Mission to Mars, Alien Encounter, Legend of the Lion King, Captain EO, etc...) a ride. Carousel of Progress is the only exception because you *do* ride around the central stage thingy. Hee!
