My introduction

Hey everyone,

I realized that since I started posting more often now, I should probably re-introduce myself. I did quite a ways back, but did do much after that with the forums themselves.

My name is Brian Seguin and I am a Walt Disney fanatic, Cast Member (Campus Representative right now), and historian. About three years ago, I needed a topic for one of my history classes (which is my major) for my Modern United States Paper. I happened to be haphazardly making my way through the library when I stumbled upon Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas. So that's how it started. Since that point, I have read over 30 books on the Walt Disney Company. Everything from bios on Walt (17), Roy (3), Disney's Animation (4 or 5), Michael Eisner (2), the corporate raiders of the early '80's (3), imagineering (who knows), ok maybe thirty was low in my estimate.

Anyways, I had the chance earlier this year to work at Disney's BoardWalk Resort at Walt Disney World Florida. I was in Bell Services as a Dispatcher, GSM team member, and co-group coordinator for a bit. I was on the college program during that time and now represent that program at my college: SUNY Geneseo.

Since I started working on Disney three years ago, I started putting together a few other dreams I'd had. In my spare time between work and college, I have sat down and designed theme parks and attractions, animation shorts and features, stage shows, and live action films and shorts. None of these unfortunately have been built or put in production yet, but I'm getting to the point now where there's the possibility of some of them happening. Much like Walt, my first project is an animation project deemed Project: Eagle. Without going into too much detail, it will reflect the ideas of Walt's Silly Symphonies with one fundamental change, the characters will be the same throughout each. Some may just call this a cartoon series, which I guess would be accurate, but it will center around the theme of music. It's not much right now, but it's something I hope to build on.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. I have a few posts floating around the forums so check them out if you want. If you want any information on good Disney books, the college program, my entertainment projects, or anything else, feel free to PM me on here or IM me on AIM at WED050499.

Thanks all for your time.

Welcome!

I do have a question about WDW books. Can you(or anyone) recommend a book with lots of pictures of WDW past and present? Even better, a historical picture book on WDW.

Thanks for the help, and Welcome once again.
