On my trip in May my friends and I decided we just wanted a quick bite to eat and went to Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. I wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise the food was delicious, especially the caesar salad!! However, that wasn't the best part about that experience. There was an older lady that was cleaning tables nearby and she ended up making her way over to our table to ask us very politely if we needed anything cleaned up. She then asked where we were from and if we were enjoying our stay. We spoke with her for about five minutes about all the fun things to do in Animal Kingdom. She told us her name was Joan and if we ever forgot it, just think of Joan of Arc. Joan was the greatest cast member I have ever spoken to, and for some reason just really had a huge impact on me. Maybe it was because I felt she represented every aspect and characteristic of what a Disney representative should be like.
Joan said she never saw herself cleaning tables at Disney World, but it was the best decision she had made in her entire life. It really made me want to work there when I get older.
As we were leaving we said our goodbyes, but then I turned back to Joan and asked her for a picture with the four of us. Her face was beaming and it is my favorite picture from my May 2012 Disney Vacation!!! Thank you Joan of Arc for making a great memory!!!
