My First Split Stay & the Luggage

My first split stay is coming up in acouple months and wondered if the luggage transfer with bell services is similar to when magic express brings them, or will we have to call downstairs to get them? We will be going from SSR to CBR, maybe take the bus over and check in. I know the room may not be ready yet, but we will probably have breakfast after checking in and then head over to one of the parks for the day anyway. (maybe come back mid afternoon for a nap or something) We would have anything we need for the day with us, so no problem there. Since it's my first split say and doing this, i'm just doing the normal worrying that I do usually. I've had no problems with the magical express with my luggage before, but since this is a littlel different wondered about the reliablity.

On the morning of your departure from SSR, leave your luggage with Bell Services. Bell Services will transport your luggage to CBR (it may take several hours) and will hold you luggage at Bell Services there ~ it will NOT be delivered to your room until you call from the room and say you are ready for your luggage. (I'm thinking one of the reasons for this is the Bellman would like to be tipped!)

We have done this several times without any problems.

I've thought about split stays. But once the suitcases are unpacked I don't want to have to pack again until I leave. Have a great vaca!!!

We have done split stays in the past and are doing so again in May. Personally I don't let bell services handle the luggage transfer to the next resort as sometimes it was after 5p that our luggage arrived at our next resort. What we do is, take a taxi and bring our luggage with us to check into the next resort. Its so much for relaxing knowing that the luggage is already at the resort for when your room is ready as opposed to waiting for it to arrive from bell services. I like the piece of mind. It's been fairly inexoensvie too. It's cost us $20 with tip. Money well spent in my opinion.
