My First PRE Trip Report

I have been so inspired since joining this site by so many people that just love to GO HOME! A quick note about myself; I am married with two boys(21,20) and a girl(15). Our first trip was 2006. We wanted to wait to go for our first time because we didn't want to be dealing with the stroller scene. This picture is from our first trip on the 4th day in 2006. We entered MGM(yep still MGM which I still call it) and we were going to slow it down as we hit it real hard for the first three days. A CM asked if we had some time to meet someone or were in a hurry. We weren't so we followed her to the greeting center. SO GLAD WE DID. Our first trip and we got a one on one meeting with MICKEY. We couldn't get the smile off our faces for hours. Obviously this was our Christmas card for that year.

And two years later we were able to do it again. Yes we are addicted. Wish I had the funds to make this happen every year. It is absolutely my happy place.

That brings me to this year and my pre-trip report. It will only be the DW and myself as we are celebrating our 25th anniversary(Oct 22nd). Our kids are so happy for us, but I think my DD is a tad jealous and wants to get packed in the suitcase:rolleyes:.
We will be staying at the Boardwalk 11/11-11/15. Only 5 days but it will be a great getaway. More to follow. Thanks for listening.

It is getting closer. 17 days. It is getting tough to focus on anything but Disney.
We will be leaving 11/11 @ 7:05 am from the Philadelphia Airport.
Arriving at MCO around 9:15.
Taking the Magical Express to The Boardwalk Resort.
I am signed in on-line and have my Magic Bands in hand.

HS - It is my our favorite park. Can't wait to see the Citizens of Hollywood. I am hoping Jack Diamond and Paige Turner are there. We have had some great times in their shows.

Dinner - California Grill - This will be our 25th anniversary dinner. Can't wait to see Wishes from that view!

MK - We are going to enjoy the day there. We have not made any dinner reservations. We are going to wing it. May go to DD for Raglan Road. Since we have no kids for this trip we are winging some of this. We are usually so planned out. We are planning on strolling and taking it all in!

We are going to Island of Adventure. It will be the first time we are going to Universal. My DW and kids love Harry Potter. We could never work it in financially for all five of us to go, so we are going this time.
Again, no dinner reservations. I hope I don't have a nervous breakdown not being all planned out:confused:

Our last day. Yes only five days. This will be our shortest trip.
AK - We love to just walk and smell and enjoy the sights of this place. There is so much to enjoy besides the rides.
We are going to have lunch/dinner at LeCellier at 4pm.
Our flight doesn't leave until 9:35, so we want to enjoy every minute we can.

Well, that's it. This will be a totally new way of doing Disney. We will be doing some rides, but we are planning on walking and watching and listening. We will be doing this trip like "kidults"!

This is it. Last post for the next week. Our flight leaves at 7:05am from the Philly airport. Hope to be in Epcot by 10:30. That is the plan. Want to catch the last day of the WFF. Just the DW and myself this time. Parks in the day, party time by night. Maybe see some of you WDWMAGICthis week.

I've been back from my happy place for a few days now. 1. 5 days is not enough 2. I miss it already 3. Did I say 5 days is not enough. DW and I had a truly magical 25 anniversary celebration. We stayed at the Boardwalk. We were thoroughly surprised as the informed us we were being upgraded to a Outdoor Cottage Suite. It was amazing and peaceful. I am planning on a full trip report but I'm still getting my thoughts and pictures together. Can't wait to share and I hope you all enjoy.

It was an early morning. We left our home at 4:15 to get to Philly. Flight left Philadelphia airport at 7:05 am, arriving at MCO around 9:15. Having done this trip a few times now, we know our way around the airport. We were down to the Magical Express pick-up and off to the Boardwalk in record time. Our plan is a much slower paced trip, but that means when we get to our favorite place. LOL.

Our suite wasn't ready so we headed for Epcot. It is so great to walk 5 minutes and be in England. I had FP all set up for Soarin and Test track. The magic bands worked perfectly for us by the way. On the way to Soarin we stopped in club cool. It was warm and we needed a little caffeine to pick us up a bit. Not a big soda drinker but this is always fun. Then it was off to Soarin. Glad we had the FP as it was a very crowded day. It was the last day of the F&W and also Veteran's day. We stopped to watch the Jamitors which is always a fun show. Then it was time for Test Track. Again, it was great to have a FP. Both Soarin and Test Track were 80/60 minute waits. Almost forgot. We had our first "Mickey Ears" as we refer to that delicious ice cream bar.

Now it was off to Germany. We had a 1:30 lunch ADR. I was really looking forward to it. Last trip we didn't go their because my oldest son isn't a big fan. DW and i love it. It is our heritage which we really embrace. We spent over two hours eating, drinking and talking to the others at our table. We had great conversations with our new Disney friends. As I said in my pre-trip report we were doing this trip as KIDULTS. We left Germany and strolled over to England. We grabbed a pint and sat by the lake and watched them bring the boats of fireworks in for Illuminations. We met a very nice local elderly couple and had another great conversation and made more Disney fiends! We heard music coming from England, so we went to check it out. The band British Revolution was playing songs by the Beatles, Kinks, Zepplin, Stones. It was great. It is my type of music. As we stood listening I kept peeking in the window to see Pooh and Tigger. They were so funny!
