It's Sunday night and I've called my mom everyday for the past week asking if she's asked my dad about our upcoming trip to Disney World, and she still hasn't said a word about it to him.
Rewind to our last WDW trip only 4 short months ago. My mom and I upgraded our tickets to annual passes with the intention of coming back this winter, again for spring break, and one more time this coming summer for my 21st birthday (also my 21st disney park trip). My dad knew we bought the passes and honestly didn't care. What he didn't know was that before we even left Disney property on that last trip, we had already booked another trip for December 15th through the 22nd for just my mom and I. My mom decided it would be best to wait until a better time to tell him. I'll let her handle that.
Unfortunately in September my parent's house was flooded during Hurricane Harvey. It's been hard on them since they are confined to the upstairs area with my brother while the downstairs is being (slowly) renovated. Because of this my mom told me the trip might have to wait, but she hadn't made a decision.
Fast Forward to today, 5 days (aren't we past the point of cancellation), before check in, ADRs have been made, FPs picked out, and my dad still has no idea. Neither my mom or I are even sure we are going on this trip.
I honestly have no idea how this will turn out, and all I can do is laugh about it. I've had a hard semester and I've been suffering through final exams and I really hope theres a trip at the end of all this. My mom especially wants this just to get out of our dusty, under construction house for a while. I completely understand if we can't make this trip work, and I won't be too upset if things don't work out. However, it would be awesome if we could pull this off.
I should be finding out any day if this is a go, and I can't wait to post our plans. *fingers crossed
