MVMCP

After many spring and fall visits I will be having my first holiday stay in December. Can I get some information on exactly what you get by purchasing a ticket to MVMCP that you wouldn't get during regular hours when the event isn't taking place? For example, I read that the parade is the same during MVMCP and regular days. Thanks.

We have been to the Christmas party 3 times. This may be overkill but we love Disney at Christmas.

There is a special holiday parade .
Wishes
Special character meet and greets.
It snows on Main Street
Cookies and cocoa stations
Special dance parties for kids.

You can get into the park at 4 so you could not get a regular ticket for the day and hang by the pool to save money.

You can stay in the park and ride anything that is still open.
Christmas music plays.
Free (watery) cocoa and cookies.
Snow (fake, of course) falls on Main Street
Characters wearing Christmas garb at M&Gs...7 dwarfs, all together for a M&G
Christmas parade
Christmas fireworks
Christmas show on the castle stage
Dance parties for kids (or adults, if you really want to dance with characters!)

If you are there Christmas week, you will get the best parts for free and really don't need to go to a party.

You are correct that during Christmas week, the fireworks (and maybe the parade too? I'm not sure), is the same during regular Park hours as it is during the MVMCP. Earlier in the month, they are not the same. We were there for a short time early last December, and did not have a day to give to the Party, but we were able to see Holiday Wishes from the Observation Deck of the Cali Grill during our dinner there which was nice. That's another option if you are not inclined to go to the Party but want to experience some of the special aspects of it.

Is it true that you can get into the park at 4pm when your ticket doesn't say until 7pm?

If I go to the party early if they let you in will I be able to go on rides and such that early?

First time doing a Xmas party!

Yes, they let people in with just the party ticket at four o'clock. Well, they have been doing that. They could change, but I doubt it. It's so well known that they'd have to announce they were going to hold to the seven o'clock thing, like they had to announce they'd ere going to start enforcing FP times. :)
