Cheap Trick's "Surrender" from their album "Heaven Tonight" (1976?). It is also recorded live on their "Live at Budokan" album (1977?). One of the most underated rock/pop bands in the past 25 years.

What? No it's not. My friend's band cover's "Surrender" at their gigs on a regular basis and that song/music in the Universal commercials is NOT "Surrender".

Okay, well, I never paid attention to the music in the commercial before, but it never sounded like "Surrender" to me. But the commercial was just on and I listened closely and it *is* "Surrender". Was a little hard to desipher but now I know.

Weird that a song with lyrics that go "Mommy's alright, daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird..." are being used in a Universal commercial.
