Okay, i was just wondering, on wdimagic.com, when you look at the "it's coming" movie, there's some cool music playing. Does anybody happen to know what its called, or where it's from, or where i can get it? Or is it just something they made up?

Thanks

Really? Well, thank you very much. Do you think it'll be fairly easy to find on the internet? Or does anybody have it here that can put it on the boards?

But thanks for the reply!!

The song "Space" from Horizons is one of the most popular Disney instrumentals ever. It can still be heard in and around Spaceship Earth at Epcot. It is a relatively short song, and generally "unremarkable" but has been included on previous Disney theme park albums. It is sort of akin to Mainstreet USA's Fortuosity, because they both some how became very popular amoung Disney fans. It was used as the background opening theme of the no longer published CDROM The Walt Disney World Explorer.

You can find it numerous places on the internet.

Where does "Space" play in Spaceship Earth? It is not in the ride, nor is it in the entrance area anymore (It was present in the 2000 medley, but not in the most recent version).

Space was on the Official Album of Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom in 1992...but is no longer available. When Popkid gets his FTP working, you can try him, or PM me your AIM account (or create one), and I can send it to you online.

It's a wonderful song...and there are also other versions of the theme which took place in Horizons. "Hey Mom! I'm flying!"

Space plays outside under the Wand, if you sit there long enough, you'll hear it. It's an interlude.

Ah, i see the stem of the confusion, I said "in and around" when I jsut meant around Spaceship Earth. I heard it in January 2002, and then again in March 2002. Both times I was lying on the tiles planeter under the wand waiting for a female friend whose first stop is always those rest rooms.

More info...

The reason I remember, is because I liked the song, but had no idea where it came from originally. I remember Horizons, but only the buttons on the vehicle, and the automated chef scene, everything else is a blur. So, i'm sitting there and I hear the song from my mp3 collection come on and it strikes me... as far as I knew, it was defunct, ya know? I thought it was part of the original SE music because there it is used as segway into the Tomarrow's Child instrumental.

Anywho.. just some clarification..

I heard the 2001 version in June of this year, and I heard the 2000 version during the Millenium Celebration. I have both as mp3s... but I will check it out next time I'm at the park.

A note...

During that early part of this year, I also heard the Fountain of Nations play a song from the Millenium celebration. The reason I can honestly say it was '02 is because that's when I got my FL resident pass *shows you the date on the ticket*

A fluke perhaps?

I dunno.

I have on a music list that "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" (a similar, but shorter, version on the 2001 Official Album) indeed played in the Fountain of Nations...lol

Ok, i found the song, but I just want to make sure I found the whole song. The space version I found is on 1 minute 22 seconds. Is there anymore to it than this relatively short clip?

Nothing more to it, it played in a loop in the attraction for a scene.

If you visit Live365.com and do a search for Disney music and listen to some of the better staions, you can ehar many of the clips from Horizons. The Mesa Verde ones make me laugh...

La la la la laaaaa la la..
