Museum Of The Weird

Captain Ambrose Gracey is a man who is obsessed with the unnatural, unusual, and just plain weird. In fact, he travels the world in his ship, seeking such artifacts. He’s found haunted Greek busts, haunted Roman paintings, haunted Medieval English tapestry, haunted German armor, and even an Egyptian Mummy with a soul intact. On one of these expeditions, he made a discovery that would change him forever! There he was in the deserts of Egypt when he found a bizarre tomb. He took it home for the world to see. He enclosed it in his manor. However, a curse was carried with the Tomb. Now, do not fear! The curse is localized to the tomb, so it can’t escape. However, the Ghosts were offended when Ambrose turned the tomb into a museum. They made exhibits in the museum come to life with evil intent when certain potions were requested! Now, Ambrose doesn’t mind this. It just adds to his obsession. In non themed words, this is a bar themed to The Haunted Mansion lore. The facade is a replica of WDW’s Haunted Mansion, with an interior themed to a mix of an Egyptian Tomb and a Victorian Parlor. When guests enter, employees greet them with “WELCOME FOOLISH MORTALS TO THE MUSEUM OF THE WEIRD, HOME OF THE SPOOK DEE BOO REVUE!!”

The drinks and effects are the following:

Wax Candle: Coconut Milk, light rum, and lit cognac at the top. The effect that corresponds is the Wax Candle Man moans in pain and drips as he burns.

Zombie: Bitters, Ouzo, Sake, Absinthe, Pulque, Mead, Mamajuana, Cachaça, Blue Curaçao, and Aquavit. The effect is that the room darkens and a storm begins as moaning corpses rise from the floor, along with rotting hands.

Madame Leota’s Possessive Poison: Butterfly Pea (changes color when lemon is added), gin (for clarity), Coca Cola’s infamous Italic Beverly, and dry ice for a smoky bubbling effect, along with a lemon wedge garnish that is squirted in by the server. The effect is literally the server changing the color.

Spook Dee Boo: red wine, bitters, triple sec, grenadine, orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice. The effect is that female employees put on cowboy hats, cowboy vests, and sheriff badges, along with can can skirts and ostrich plume headbands for the men, then run onto a stage with a painting of the Disneyland Paris version of Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor as the backdrop, one gets a banjo with no strings and air guitars using it, then, another gets a wood plank, painted to be a washboard, and air washboards, and then, the remaining ones dance while spinning lassos while singing “Spook Dee Boo! I’m coming back from the graveyard tonight! Spook Dee Boo! I’m gonna hit the museum tonight! Fa La La La La La La La La! Spook Dee Boo! Oh, look out! Oh, Master Gracey here I come! Spook Dee
Boo! Boo! Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out To Socialize!” to the tune of Hoop Dee Doo, with the end sung to Grim Grinning Ghosts.

Man Eating Plant Sap: Midori, Limeade, and Ginger Ale. The effect is a giant Venus Fly Trap that snaps at the guest’s hand as they go to get the drink from a pedestal in front of it.

For the people who do not like the effects, soundproof and effect free seating is available in The Jungle Conservatory, where one can drink surrounded by exotic plants from several rainforests around the world, a relaxing soundscape of orchestral music and Rainforest Sounds, and a waterfall. This area is also where the restrooms are!
