I posted this already on MiceChat, because that is where I heard about this event. I figured I would post here on this site as well for a few reasons. First its Muppets, and everyone loves the Muppets. Second I like this forum, and I think some of you might actually to see and read some thoughts on what happened. So I hope you enjoy.
I attended the Panel Discussion and The Great Muppet Caper. The panel discussion was pretty good. It was great to hear the stories about Jim Henson. I really enjoyed the interaction between Dave Goelz as Gonzo and Kevin Clash as Elmo. They were hilarious together. I don't think that Fran Brill and Zoe added much to the show. But that's my opinion.
After the panel discussion we watched the Great Muppet Caper. Which I have not seen in years. It was even more enjoyable then I remembered. After the movie Dave Goelz and Gonzo came back out for some Q&A. I really enjoyed the expression on Dave Goelz's face when someone would ask him a seriously in depth question about a minor role he had played some 20+ years ago. Dave Goelz would have this extremely confused look on his face and he would have Gonzo make fun of him. (probably have Gonzo say what was really on his mind. REALITY...MOVIE)
Dave Goelz said in the Q&A that they were in talks for something, either Muppet movie or Muppet type show in the future. He wouldn't elaborate any more then that.
But this was a great day and lots of fun. I don't have the pictures, my girlfriend has them on her camera. She did however email me one that I can post now. I will post more pictures later. All in all I had a blast!
