Muppets christmas carol

I recently got the muppets christmas carol on dvd as my video is terribly worn out while watching it i noticed that "the love is gone" song had been cut out of the ghost of christmas past bit

does anyone know why this is?

I looked into it online and from what I read on IMDB.com,it was because of time constraints. Pretty lame excuse. They could've left out a couple of new release commercials. apparently the VHS version has it,so if you have it and know someone who can convert it from analog to digital you'll be set.

Great movie. I remember seeing this in the theatre when it came out and tearing up when it began at the Jim Henson and Richard Hunt dedication.
