Ok kind of sort of know the answer to the question I am about to ask but I was just wondering whether anyone knows about any rumours.

So Mr. Toads Wild Ride ever coming back???
Love the ride...

Hate pooh...
Just needed to ask with the space where 20k used to be.

Toad will never come back. If you want to see him you'll have to visit Disneyland. It's a shame too. Such a great ride. Something will probably eventually go into the old land where 20k used to be, but just no time soon.

hey i like pooh. just for the uniquness of the ride. not only do you just follow a track, but your car"bounces" and "floats". im 20 and i still find it entertaining. mr toads was great and all but seriously all u did was follow a track looking at 2-D characters. the reason why i liked it so much was because it made my brother cry! anyway, i seriously doubt disney would ever resurrect a ride after they destroyed it. unless they ever build a "classic disney ride" park....

Its sad but true that the attraction won't ever be brought back to the Magic Kingdom. In fact, I don't see it ever returning to Walt Disney World at all (Unless the seventh gate is based on killed-off attractions and characters:p).

We have two choices in this situation:

1. Remember the ride with fondness and good memories
OR
2. Visit Disneyland, CA and see the version there with only one track and imagine the mirroring track.

I was under the impression that the Pooh playground (can't remember the name right now..) was where 20k used to be...:veryconfu

It's only using a very small section of the 20K area.

It takes only an very small part of the entire 20k plot.

If you loved WDW's Mr. Toad, you might be interested in the following link:

Looks like it will be very cool when completed.
You might also check mousesurplus on eBay - they sell off pieces of the ride from time to time - I've gotten a car steering wheel and fender, as well as a stop sign. They've also had whole cars, but my wife would kill me if I bought one of those

"It's something that will never be finished. Something that I can keep developing...and adding to." -WaltDisney

Change is necessary. Imagine how old and dated everything would get if there was NO change (as in nothing new added). The minor attractions will always be in danger of it. Enjoy your time. You will 'usually' have signs and warnings before one is replaced. Pooh is more kid friendly i'd say (the we little ones).

Mr. Toad Rocked. I miss the attraction.
In all honesty, i enjoyed it more as i got older than i did when i was younger.
I think part of the reason we hate to see an older attraction like this go is not just becuase we will miss riding it, but it is like saying goodbye to a piece of your childhood...(at least for me.... )

How was the WDW and DL version different? We are going to DL in 8 days and plan on riding it but never got to ride in WDW.

All this talk about Mr. Toad makes me wonder whether archival filmed versions of this ride (or any other defunct rides) were taken by Imagineers before the ride was dismantled. It would be sad if there was absolutely no way to enjoy a professionally produced ride-through of these attractions. Is it possible that footage like this exists in the vaults in Imagineering?

The Disney World version had two tracks each one took a slightly different track through the ride and would meet up at certain times in key rooms. So each track had a completely different experience.

I was never a big fan of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, I must say. I remember being quite creeped out by it when I first rode it when I was 4, and I was too young to really "get" the ending then. When I rode it again later on, I remember finding it a bit disturbing that a Disney ride (especially in Fantasyland!) sends you to H-e-double hockey sticks for the finale. I think the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is very cute and well-done. (The bouncing track is fun!)

That said, I think now that I'm old enough to 'get' the darker humor of that attraction I might enjoy it more (it was a must-see for my mom and me on our last trip to Disneyland), but I am not bitter about this change.

PS Anyone take a really good look at the Haunted Mansion pet cemetery recently? (As in after November 2005) :animwink:

WDW-Two mirroring track layouts, but different experiences
DL- One Track, one experience, one bad version of a classic experience.
