Ok i'm sure most of you guys are sick of me bringing up the subject of Mr. Toad. Anyways here a couple of questions, and information im looking for about the ride...

!. Does anybody have the picture in the Pooh ride of Mr. Toad giving the deed to Owl? I want to print it out.
2. Have any pictures sites, videos of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?
3. If Mr. Toad ever came back where would you want to see it at WDW?
4. Who misses Toad and his Wild Ride?
5. Have any music from the Wild Ride?
Thanks!

1. There is a picture of it in the one Disney magazine. I don't know what issue, but I'll try to find that out for you.

2. Digital Disney.com has one!:)

3. I guess Fantaseyland.

4. Well, I remember when I first went on it when I was 4, and I came out absolutely terrifeid and did not want to go on it again. But I went on the one at DL, and I think it was probably one of the best rides in Fantaseyland along with Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan. It had the best qeue out of all of the Fantaseyland rides. It was kind of neat.

5. Nope. Sorry.:(

Funny you should ask - I just encoded a 1991 ride through Mr Toads. I will be posting it to #Disney-Central sometime tonight.

I definitely miss Mr. Toad. I wish it never would have been replaced. They should have just built Pooh somewhere else.

Sadly, I don't think Mr. Toad will ever return to WDW.

I would pick Pooh over Toad every time. I think it's a better ride and much more appealing. Also, the Pooh ride, unlike Toad, does a good job at bringing to life the charm of the original film. I would hope they don't bring Toad back unless it's a whole new version (which is very unlikely).

I Miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride if only because it was the edgiest ride in the entire resort. After all, how many other dark rides has Disney built that lets you in, kills you, then sends you to Hell. Plus, it was always good to see a ride still in operation that didn't tie into a recent or current merchandising project, but as per Eisner strategy, EVERYTHING has to either relate to or promote something that's making money RIGHT NOW. The worst part of the ride was obviously the low-tech nature of all the effects inside, which were all really nothing more than day-glow painted plywood, but given the subject matter and carefree nature of the Mr. Toad story low-budget came off as high-concept.

I remember seeing lots of picture sites devoted to the toad about 5 years ago, but I can't tell you anything for sure except to keep looking.

As for media, I've got an MP3 of the queue area loop that everyone else seems to have. It's low-quality but has minimal crowd noise and it alternated between the same two renditions of "Merrily on our way to nowhere in particular," one vocal and one symphonic. It's really fast and dynamic for queue music with lots of pounding trumpet fanfares.

Like Pooh but love Mr. Toad. We go to DL every 5 years or so just for a Mr. Toad, Alice, Pinocchio and Matterhorn fix. Wish it were back.
