Mr. Boogity Boogidy?

Does anyone else remember this made-for-tv movie? I believe it was on around 1987ish when there was a Disney movie on say ABC or something. It was intended to be a "scary movie" for kids, but it was also kind of cute. It was about a family who moved into a haunted house, haunted by Mr. Boogity/Boogidy (can't remember how to spell his name). I only remember there being the original Mr. Boogity and then there was Bride of Boogity. I heard from someone else that it was possibly a series on the Disney Channel? I can't find anything on the net about it except people like me asking about it on message boards.

Tha movie was great and I think it even had a sequel (Return of Mr. Boogity).

I wish you could find it on video. Alas since its last airing on the Wonderful World of Disney I have heard nothing else of it.

We would run around the playground at school going "Boogity, Boogity, Boo". Now that I think about it, it sounds kinda like the Fairy Godmother. :lol:

I remember my sister loving this movie, but I don't really remember it very well. Just her saying "boogity boogity" etc. It's about a haunted house?

at my house in kentucky, on an old betamax vcr, i have tons of those old movies, including mr. boogity. i watch them whenenver i go home.

i have to say though that my favorite one is called the b.r.a.t. patrol, about a bunch of military kids.

I had the second one on tape, recorded from the TV... Maybe I still do, I don't know. It was the one the father is posessed by Boogedy. I think it's "Bride of Boogedy" but I'm not sure.

YAY you have the correct spelling. No wonder neither of the forms I used looked right to me! WOohoo. I think you're right about the father being possessed. I watched Bride of Boogedy more than the first one.

I remember all of those movies! My kids loved watching them around Halloween.
