In the 90's, I lived down there & worked for the mouse for 4yrs. Never did I ever get bored with it. All told I've probably had over 200 visits. Each time you see or do something different. We've been down there 8 times in the last 10 yrs, and are going again in Feb. It will be my youngest son's(he's my avatar)3rd visit in his 4 yrs of life.He is so excited to be going to "Mickey's House. So a short answer is no you won't get bored!

I live over in Tampa. It's a little over an hour drive from here. I love when I have an AP because it's much less stressful on you. Want to go out? No problem! Get up whenever you want, arrive at the park when you feel like it, and ride what you wish without worrying about having to make the most of every. single. minute. or ride every. last. thing. It's very liberating. Do the things you want and if you miss something this time, no worries! You get a very different perspective on the parks when you go regularly. You see a lot more of the little changes that creep in here and there.

I think you can certainly burn yourself out if you don't change how you treat a day in the park, but if you shift your focus to a more casual, leisurely day that doesn't come with set notions of what a "vacation" needs to be, you can really have a great time as many times as you go.

My wife and I transferred from Georgia to jobs in Tampa in March '06. We bought a home in Lakeland (45 minutes from Tampa, 45 minutes from Disney World). The first thing we did when we arrived was to get our Florida Driver's liscences and the second thing we did was buy our Disney Annual Passes.
We go to WDW about 25 to 30 times a year. It is great to be able to visit all the special events (Star Wars Weekends, Flower Festival, Food & Wine Festival, etc) as many times as we like. We stay at a WDW hotel two or three times a year with other friends from Florida. It is a great mini-vacation. As a Florida passholder we get great deals on Hotel rooms (stayed at All-Star Sports 2 weeks ago for $59/night), special deals on trading pins, and invitations to ride new rides before they open to the public. We love to talk to other guests about where they are from and how much we love WDW. On a nice day we will go to a park and just walk for exercise. Every time we go we find something new.
I don't think we will ever get tired of WDW. On Christmas day we are going to Epcot to the Christmas Processional (Gary Sinise is the narrator) with preferred seating after eating lunch at Garden Grill. We will ride SSE and just enjoy the day. We are living our dream and plan on retiring and then going to work at WDW part time.
We once told a CM that we were Disney Nuts. She politely replied that we are considered Disney enthusiasts. I like "Nut" better.

I am thinking about going to college in florida, close to disney. If i do ill buy the pass so i can go when im not bus, and want to go with friends. I would never get bored.
I hope to live in florida, get a special ed teaching postion, get a house close, get the dvc membership from parents for graduation(use for non-wdw places), and keep up the pass..i hope to work during college for their college program in my soph. year as a cashier

this gets me excited for college

~a dream is what your heart makes~
~when you wish upon a star~

spring break @ disney(hopefully, we have res.)on site........college visits!and fun time at parks!

If you are true down to the core disney fan - i cant see how you can get bored. Ive lived in central florida for over a year now and the reason i moved here from south florida was to be closer to Disney and now i am and i LOVE IT! i can never see myself getting bored of disney at all... :sohappy:

I never get bored going to the parks, and I live only a few minutes away. I'll go to a park and just walk around taking photos - not even getting on a single ride. There's always something new to see. :)

Most of my time is spent in the Magic Kingdom with my (autistic) son, and certainly SWSA lost its luster for me a loooong time ago. That's kind of a specialized issue, though. Aside from that, the main thing to me is that spending time in the parks is just generally a lot more relaxed since we moved here. When you come on vacation, you only have a few days to spend, and you feel like you have to cram in as much as possible to make the trip worthwhile. When you have the annual pass and live nearby, you can just pop in for an hour or two to see whatever catches your fancy and if you only go on one or two rides that's just fine.

I work from a home office as a software developer, and there have been days when I have been stuck trying to figure out some problem. More than once I have just taken a long lunch, jumped over to MGM, and gone on ToT a few times until it shakes a new idea loose. My co-workers have gotten used to the phrase "well, I was stuck on this for a while, and then I threw myself down an elevator shaft a few times and came up with this idea...."

Living in Florida is like living anywhere else with a family. We have been here for over 30 years. The first years we were at the parks all the time. We brought all relatives and friends to the parks when they came down.
As the kids went from being little ones to mid school age Disney didn't interest them as much. They had other activities that kept them busy school, sports, surfing, skateboarding, music lessons, gymnastics, fishing, etc. and we sort of quit going to Disney for years. About the only time we went was with their schools on field trips or to be in the parades. When relatives and friends came down we directed them to the parks but didn't go with them.

Now my son goes to school in Orlando and works there. We go maybe once or twice a year when there is something we want to see-like the castle which is awesome this Christmas.

I guess what I am saying is at first you go a lot, but as you get involved in family life here, it becomes a little less important. Now I know there are some people who never get enough of the place, but we are a family that end up at the beach more than in the center of the state.

I live in Clearwater (outside of Tampa) and have all my life. As a child we went to Disney at least twice a year. Now, with an AP I try to go once a month or so.

Not bored yet and don't ever think I will be.:)

I'm sorry, Florida is temporarly closed.
You might want to try Iowa, they have lots of room.

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

From a native FL perspective: Never bored, I wish I could stay forever. We go approx once a month and I'm truly sad when we leave. I will say there are times that we look at each other and say...I don't need to stand in line for 90min to see a tin foil volcano (peter pan) so we move on to something else or go back to the resort and lay by the pool. The benefits of going so often are you do not have to see everything in one day. If it is to busy we catch it on our next trip. One weekend we came up just to ride SOARIN, everything else was just extra. :)
