All, I’m moving to Florida for a job with Disney. Driving out tomorrow and will be living in an extended stay for a month. My birthday is next week. Throw some suggestions at me. It will need to be resort or Disney springs. Prefer table service.

Group-

Birthday boy
Wife
Son-19
Daughter- 16
Daughter- 12

They are chicken nuggets or death, but they’ll live this time. Would prefer something new to us.

At the resorts and springs, that eliminates-
Raglan
Boma
Boathouse
Boatwrights
Splitsville
Cityworks
Homecoming

We currently have a reservation for Morimotos. It looks awesome, but I’m open to suggestions. Again, they are chicken tender fans, I’m way more adventurous. I’d honestly like to finally try Polite Pig, I know it’s counter service, but seating could be a challenge.

Some of our fav places that aren't on your list are 'Ohana and Sanaa. We love Polite Pig and have never had a difficult time finding a seat outside but it would be easier to go at non-peak times or go right when they open. They def get busier later in the day.

I’ve thought about Sanaa. We’ve done ‘ohana, but forgot to put on the list. Did it for the first time during our 2022 trip. Without the meal plan, this broke me financially. However, it is now my number 1 place to eat, ahead of Via Napoli and boathouse. But I’m waiting for my discount before I go back.

Polite Pig has my interest to be sure. Have you done Morimoto before?

No, I've only done the Morimoto street food window. I forgot to mention a few other places that we've been to that's not on your list:
  • Sebastian's at Caribbean Beach. We went before the family style service but everything we had there was delicious and we loved the décor and atmosphere.
  • Beaches and Cream was good and it was nice to enjoy the Boardwalk area on a non-park day.
  • Kona Cafe at the Poly still has my favorite breakfast on property. I haven't been since they changed their menus but it's a good, cheaper alternative to 'Ohana.
  • House of Blues was a decent meal but very loud. Probably the least favorite meal out of all the places I've tried at Disney Springs.
  • Pepe is a quick service to Jaleo that I just have to mention. We haven't been back since they reopened post covid but this place used to have the BEST steak and cheese I've ever had made with Spanish Cristal bread. My husband and I still talk about it years later and have it on our list to try again our next trip.

We've twice been to Morimoto and really enjoyed it.

We also really like Wine Bar George. The skirt steak for two is in my top 5 favorite dishes on property. I also recommend the saganaki on fire appetizer. The menu is pretty approachable and includes mac and cheese bites, meatballs, and chicken breast. There's a kids menu with chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, and hot dogs, and maybe they can adjust that into an adult sized portion.

maybe city works and pour house? wife and daughter ate there last year, liked it.maybe steakhouse 71 if you can get a table and parking at contemporary.
Steakhouse 71 is an absolute contender. Not a big fan of city works. I tried the polite pig yesterday for lunch. Prisoner of the moment… but by far the best counter service on property.

I finally got a reservation for beaches and cream for our October 2022 trip. And just before that great day, the morning after we did our first MNSSHP since 2013, I woke up to my back having gone out and a sick wife (eventually diagnosed as covid). I’m not saying God doesn’t want me to have the no way Jose, but others are saying it.

I’ve been kicking around the idea of the Edison. A confession, I’ve visited Disney over a dozen times and I’ve never visited the Boardwalk. Since I now live here, I’ll remedy that
We’ve eaten at the Edison twice…very good food and I love the steampunk vibe there…Trattoria Al Forno @ Boardwalk has IMHO, the best breakfast on property, a breakfast calzone that’s no longer on the menu, but they will make it if you ask for it…
