I'll try to help, but unfortunately it could be about 100 things.

Maybe if I try a list of things to check first:

1. Are you watching on a PC or stand-alone player?
2. Are you using all the same brand/type of blank DVDs or are you having the same problem with various disks?
3. You say you are using Pinnacle 9. Have you tried any other program? Or have you got any other progs running at the same time as you burn disks?
4. How new/powerful is your computer?
5. Do you know what format the files on your computer are before you burn them to a disk?

Sorry to sound complicated, but there are so many things that could be going wrong. If we can narrow down the problem a bit, I'm sure we can figure something out.

Also, try them in a different DVD player. My Pinnacle discs play in my DVD player and a couple of friends, but only one in four of them play in my folk's player.

Check you have the most up to date patch for Studio. The original version would not produce playable DVDs for me. Version 9.3.5 was the one that worked for me. They have also recently released another patch - 9.4.3, which I am downloading as I write this.

The fact that it has happened on different machines with different disks is very helpful, it means that the problem is probably the burning software. As above, check you have latest version of software. Maybe even try another piece of burning software such as Nero. You can download free trials for many progs easily, so you can see if they work before spending any money.
