MouseSurplus - HELP!

Hello all.

I'm hoping someone in here can help me out. I am abosolutely desperate to get hold of one of the items on mousesurplus at the moment.

They won't ship to the United Kingdom even though it states worldwide on the shipping section :grrr:

I was looking to see if there is anyone who can let me send this to their house in the states and then I can arrange for it to be shipped from there to me. :blush:

I know its asking a lot but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I don't want to let it slip through my fingers.

If there was an easy way to do it i would be buying this set;

but I think the logistics of sorting that out would mean certain failure.

Why wont they ship to the UK!!!

Cant help directly - I live in UK too, but I was just wondering if you have actually spoken to them about shipping. As long as you are willing to pay, I dont see why they wouldnt work with you.

I think the reason they won't ship that to the UK is because it would be considered an oversized item. If you look further down on the description it indicates that oversized items are shipped by truck. Smaller items I'm sure they would ship anywhere you asked, but you have to admit, something like that is pretty darn big.

What a beautiful piece! If I didnt live in CAlifornia, I would get one for that price! I hope someone here can help you...I have purchased from Mouse Surplus, and appreciate the care and attention to detail they have.

Thanks for the replies. I did call and speak to them and thats how i was told they wouldnt ship worldwide. Didnt want to get into an arguement about false advertising :hammer:because i didnt want to annoy anyone and scupper my chances.

I'm gonna ring back tomorrow and have another go.

Have you tried directly contacting UPS or another world wide courier to see if they have any suggestions. It may be that they could pick up from MouseSurplus and deliver to you at your expense. Be prepared for it to probably cost more than the furniture.

I personally can not stand Mouse Surplus...all of these items were once available to CMs through Property Control at a big discount. Now these guys get the stuff dirt cheap and make a killing on it.

I've always got the impression that they work on HUGE mark ups. I guess when you have a lot of people with an obsession in something, said people will spend a fortune to obtain related goods. Just look at over priced replica sports uniforms.
