I heard a Rumor that there are some Big Changes taking place
within the Walt Disney Company.
Eisner is to get the Boot. Hhhmm

I wonder who is going to take his place?

Could it Be Cynthia Harris??

Eisner, I heard, would be leaving by the end of this year if Disney's stock doesn't get back up...

...but if anyone gets the job...let's make sure they're a person who knows what they're doing...*ahem* Maybe ROY can have more say *ahem* and maybe that Disney Parliament idea I thought of with two houses that decide on the changes based on very different public views and and and..yeah...and...Yeah..I'll shut up now...

Who knows..maybe he might run off like Pressler...but I really do hope Roy gets significantly more power. *siiiiiiggghh*

This is a familiar rumor that resurfaces frequently. Actually, I just see it as grist for the mill, and pressure to keep Michael Eisner focused. Currently I think the board is pushing to see a succession plan, but not anything intended to push him out. I also think that he has been doing an acceptable job given the economy, which is out of his control .

Anyway, I think this is just popular business press: mostly opinion and "analysis," not journalism at this point.

As for Roy: he already has significant power, as the second biggest shareholder (behind Michael).

Umm, I think you have that a little mixed up. Mike saved the company from a hostile takeover. That's why he was brought in - to keep it from happening.

And it was Roy who brought him in in the first place! Him and that one other guy. Who was that other guy........?

After abrubtly hearing Paul had left Disney oit of nowhere that one day, I believe anyhting can happen.....but this is a little different.

That other guy was Frank Wells who died in either a plane or helicopter crash. Disney's growth seemed to die the same time is Frank.
