New Tomorrowland is the modern Disney model.

It keeps with the essence...but it adds a fresh look, not deviating from the theme.

A "thrill" attraction was added. Yet, clever, witty, and with CHARACTER.

Quality and guests were upped to the Timekeeper attraction, with truly dominant THEMES and EVEN ANIMATRONICS were added.

Classics, such as the Carousel of Progress and Space Mountain, were preserved, pleasing the original guests, as well as updating.

NO other change Disney has done in years compares to New Tomorrowland. It's not a simulator ride. It's not a quick rehab.

It was a thorough, complete job - family-friendly in all aspects as a land, only adding to quality, and especially preserving meaning.

Gorgeous. And, more than anything else, left ORIGINAL in attractions, themes, styles, AND characters.

I'd like to see Disney pull something like this off again. And it's definietely not with the rumored Gemini plans, as seen on Jim Hill.

And if things like these Gemini plans pull through AS Tomorrowland changes (seasonal attractions CoP, Timekeeper, removing originality with Alien Encounter), I can only forsee, as hard as it is, complete failure.

Definately New Tomorrowland. Probably the only rennovation that I actually k improved WDW. All of Grizz's points are exactly the reason why. I can't think of anything else that did this, besides the redo of UoE.

I agree with the points on TL. Though I miss the "old" TL (I was fortunate to see it in the 80's), I love what WDW did with the renovation.

The only way I feel it could be "better" is to keep CoP open, but of course that's in about 3000 different threads =p

I'm going to have to disagree and say Mission: SPACE. I love the new Tomorrowland, but other than some facade changes and name changes on the buildings, it was basically just adding two attractions- and not too particularly wonderful attractions. Timekeeper was OK (didn't intise me to see it more than once) and Alien Encounter was just a terribly mediocre attraction and the worst in the park. Mission: SPACE on the other hand also replaced a tired attraction like AE and Timekeeper, but the results were much better. The ride is incredable, the facade breathes new life to the area, and it's given more people a reason to come to EPCOT. A definate improvement.

There is something about the old retro Tomorrowland that I love. It captured what people in the 60s-70s thought the future would be like. It had a certain "cheesy-ness" that I loved.

I don't dislike the new Tomorrowland I'm actually quite fond of it. I just think the older Tomorrowland was pretty cool, although rides such as TTA still capture the original Tomorrowland theme.

I liked the old TL @ WDW as well. I think they pulled off the overall renovation nicely; it certainly gave some new life to the area.

Crap is a pretty strong word...

I don't really view TT and M:S as renovations as much as I view them as completely new attractions. JIYI could get the vote for worst rennovation though....

I gotta agree with Grizz on the New TL.

I like the New Tomorrowland, but Space Mountain, and the Grand Prix dont really fit in. Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt Ranger Spin a renovation? If it is, my vote goes to that. Although it isnt my favorite ride, or isnt even a top 5, it is very popular at the MK, and pleases many people. It turned a tired onmimover into an exciting ride. And yes Grizz, it does have an animatronic LOL...A very good one I might add..
