My father depends on the use of a scooter for mobility reason. What is the most friendly resort for scooters and mentioned of travel?

Since it is Florida, the terrain is flat pretty much wherever you go. Each resort has handicap accesible rooms and elevators. No matter where you end up you will be fine. Just make sure to mention this when you make your reservation so you can be assisted accordingly.

According to ADA regulations for the entire USA, public places must be able to accomodate people in wheelchairs and other mobility aids. You will be just fine anywhere you choose to venture. Have fun!

To clarify, it's "handicap accessible rooms OR elevators"

There aren't any elevators at Carribbean Beach - and it's rooms are spread out over a huge distance with winding paths and uneven terrain. I'd not recommend it.

Nor Pop or any of the All Stars. They are exterior corridors over uneven surfaces. Atleast Pop and the All Stars have elevators though.

I would recommend a place like AKL, WL, Contemporary, or even Boardwalk. They have interior corridors and plentiful elevators.

I'd recommend the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. The value and moderate resorts are too spread out and they have outside paths which tend to be windey and uneven. The deluxe resorts have inside corridors and less travelling outside. The Contemporary and Wildy are the first two that came to mind.

My Dad used a scooter for the majority of our trip last fall. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and it worked out beautifully. When I made our reservations, I explained my Dad's situation, and requested rooms on the first floor. It was no problem at all!

By the way, the Disney bus drivers were very patient and accomodating, and that really made our trip that much more pleasant!

Have a great time!

Glad to hear I'll be staying at POFQ at the end of the month and I have to use a scooter.

Make sure you remind the front desk upon checking in that you use a scooter and need a first-floor room. We found the entire resort to be very scooter-friendly and easy to manuever around!
