Most Remote Resort Room

What's the most remote on-property resort room you've stayed in? I realize most folks want to be steps from the lobby, transportation, food court, pool, etc. I guess we're just the opposite. After a full day in the parks, we like to head for a quiet room away from everything, even if it's another 10 minute walk! Our resort of choice is POP, and I usually request the top floor of 80s or 90s, away from the pool. We've had some pretty quiet rooms up there over the years. Just wondering about other resorts. Thanks!

We have always received Florida resident discounts on rooms, which usually has them placing us in the most remote rooms of any given resort. I agree that remote rooms are better because of the more quiet atmosphere. I never have a problem with a little extra walking at the end of a day, and the lack of screaming kids and heavy foot traffic is a great payoff. I don't have a good enough memory to remember locations, but a map of any resort will show the sections that are furthest from the lobby and the main pool.

I have stayed at the Coronado Springs with my parents and we had a room an equal distance from the lobby & pool and we stayed on the top floor and heard no noise at all. It's a long walk sometimes and a huge resort, my parent's and I like to be close to the lobby or transportation so if we stay there again we will request a closer room, but if you like distance & it to be quiet then this may be the resort for you!

I would never pay extra for those "preferred" buildings in the moderates, lol.

I like some peace and quiet. The furthest I can be from noise, ice machines, elevators, et cetera...the happier I will be. Stick me on the top floor at the end of the hall every time. :)

Many years ago we were exiled to a remote area of the Caribbean Beach Resort that was quite literally over the river and through the woods. I like peace and quiet but, by the time we got to the room after a long day, all you could hear was our dogs barking. It was just too darn far. Be it in a hotel or on a cruise, I always like to be by the elevator.

We stayed in the south garden wing of the Contemporary Resort, all the way at the end where it faces Bay Lake. We loved the room, it was about a 10 minute walk to the main building. The room was quiet, had a great view of the lake and the water pageant also sunrise over the lake was wonderful.

Last trip we stayed at POP our room was in the 80's building (7101-7402) on the back side. Probably the furthest room possible! It was great, super quiet & only a quick walk to the computer pool. Even though it was so far out of the way, it still was not a long walk to the buses/food court if you cut through the parking lot.

Yacht Club room 1011...the last room in furthest wing of the resort. Hated it.

I don't remember the exact location....but at the Yacht Club was my longest walk ever!

The most remote place you can stay is probably the cabins. We've stayed in them an it is the only place where you will either walk about a mile or have to wait for a bus if you want to go to the main quasi-lobby. If you want the peaceful time away from everyone I highly recommend them, just don't expect lots of in your face Disney tie in stuff... you wont get it. At most you get some wash cloth animals on a daily basis.

Building 35 at POR. We just stayed there in Sept. This room was remote, cross O'l Man Island and keep walking. When we checked in, we were told that we were granted our request for a 1st floor room, but it was on the other side of the property but it was close to a bus stop. At first I was a little worried about the distance from the Main Pool and Lobby. In 2011, we had some problems at POR, part our fault, part the resorts fault. We were a little anxious about booking there again. However, this turned out to be a real plus for us. The walks through the resort helped us appreciate what a beautiful and peacful area we were in. We all enjoyed our walks to the pool or lobby, not even our boys complained. We enjoyed this past trip so much we would like to get the same room next year.

POR's Parterre Place, last building on the left, top floor. It was weird at first because we didn't know the exact location of our room and so added 10 more minutes walking all the way around the building before finding it. Basically, we were down by the bridge. Didn't seem to take too long when walking but then again we love to walk. Aside from that, I stayed at Fort Wilderness in a tent one time. It felt like we were out in a forest (well, duh!) and very far out from the main buildings. On the plus side, a large bathroom was fairly close (about 100 feet) and that made it better.

Cabanas at CSR was very quiet AND close to the pool and lobby. Possibly because it is only two floors or maybe because we we were there in the off season but it was totally peaceful during our entire stay.
