Most expensive attraction?

What is the single most expensive attraction to date (reached completion) that Disney operates? Where do the runners-up rank?

My guess would be The Tree of Life/It's Tough to be a Bug. Splash Mountain and ToT would have to be up there.--------I second guessed myself ---what about Test Track???

I would say Test Track...but then again since people have been riding M:S I would consider that all but complete...wait....this is a trick possibly? I am gonna go out on a limb here and say the monorail system.

I have a feeling it'll be something at DisneySea - but, I seem to recall hearing that Tower of Terror was the most expensive ride to date (not sure about Mission Space, but you said completed)

I'm pretty sure Animal Kingdom is the most expensive park they've ever built.

If any of us are genius enough, you ought to adjust for inflation and figure out a cost that way. With Space Mountain being built back in the mid-70's, what would it figure as? And with the monorail being here from the beginning and then expanding to Epcot, its cost could be up there.

As for AK being the most expensive park, again factor in inflation and I would bet that Epcot would give it a run for its money.

costs

Actual costs would be nice. Inflation could then be adjusted as appropriate.

As for the answers, I have no idea what they are - that's why I asked. I would like to see a list of (actual) costs for all the attractions (M:S included) and how they rank. If anyone knows of such a list, or can make one, that would please Timekeeper.

If we are talking about attractions, then Monorails are not a choice, they are not an attration, they are one of the Transportation option for all the Disney Guests. Magical Day Everyone.

I disagree. Theyre not like a bus or a boat. They were meant to broadcast to the world a new and different and more efficient way of mass transportation. I wouldn't say its merely a transportation option. Especially after Walt and WED travelled the world looking for the best monorail design. Riding the monorail is something i look forward to when I go on vacation, and there for it is "attracting" me, which is the job of an "attraction". Just because it's outside of the park and used for something useful doesn't mean it's not an attraction. What your saying would mean the Walt Disney World Railroad is not an attraction. And what about the horse and buggies on Main Street? They're both mainly used for transportation, but are tehy not also attractions?

No, what I mean is that Monorails are a division of Disney Transportation Department, BTW is the second largest division in that departmen betwen Buses(largest) and Watercraft(smallest), their CM are Transportation Host/Hostess and not Attraction Host/Hostess, what means that their pay is a little higher. What I mean is that in DISNEY (the Company) TERMS, Monorails are a Transportation way and not an attraction.
