Everyone knows that the STCU (Service Trades Council Union) is still re-negotiating for a new contract. But also this coming week the CMC (Craft Maintenance Council) which includes all Computer Techs, Ride Electricians and Mechanics, Reedy Creek, Resort and Restaurant maintenance, Painters, Carpenters, Horticulture, and many others in the maintenance field. There is about 4,000 workers represented by this contract. They will be voting on a new contract this week also.

I hope everything goes smoothly, because I would hate to see the ride operators and the maintenance workers all go out at the same time.

And I believe that Actors Equity is also in negotiations as well. No wonder the company cancels scheduled bargaining meetings claiming they need more time.

Walt Disney World and leaders of a union representing skilled workers at its theme parks reached a tentative agreement on a new contract over the weekend, and will put it to a vote on Wednesday. The union, the Craft Maintenance Council, represents carpenters, warehouse workers and key electricians and engineers who maintain and inspect theme park rides. The tentative deal must be ratified by a majority of the union's estimated 4,000 members.
