It will be interesting how they incorporate that, if they do at all.

They probably won't, given how dark it is....Chewbacca dies, Leia gets tortured nearly to death, Han retreats into a bottle, Coruscant is reduced to a wasteland, a Jedi holocaust, and biomechanical weaponry that would give even H.R. Giger nightmares.

Is this stuff part of the Star Wars novels? the producers said they would not incorporate any of that into the movies...

That is not quite right the quote was “While the universe that readers knew is changing, it is not being discarded,” “Creators of new Star Wars entertainment have full access to the rich content of the Expanded Universe.”

So it sounds like they will be using some parts and not others.

That is pretty much it. If they like something, they can use it. They are also completely free to ignore it entirely.

My magic 8 ball predicts an aside about "this is the worst threat we've faced since Admiral Thrawn or the Emperor himself" and nothing further mentioned from any books.
And Chewie dies again for 7.

As others have said that is not true. They said the stories aren't directly lifted from the old EU, but they may use elements of it...like a species...such as the Yuuzhan Vong.

From Entertainment Weekly -

Lucasfilm held an open casting call for the film last year in 11 cities across the U.S. and U.K., about 30,000 would-be galaxy-dwellers showed up hoping to land roles. Another 30,000 sent in applications online.
Out of all those, two have now been selected:

STAR-WARS-CAST.jpg

• Crystal Clarke, an American actress who was studying in Glasgow, Scotland. She has appeared numerous times onstage and will appear in her first feature film next year, The Moon and the Sun. She’ll be inhabiting other celestial bodies in Episode VII, although her character has not been specified.

• Pip Andersen, a British actor with experience in the wall-climbing athletic art of parkour. He was also hired for an unspecified role. Anderson was most recently seen in a Spider-Man promo for Sony.
