More Likely to Happen.....

Personally, I don't see either of these choices happening anytime in the near future, but which would most likely happen first, in your opinion?

1) Monorail line extension from Orlando Int. Airport to WDW
2) Monorail line extension to include Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom.

They're both very real ideas that WDI have in the works and are very open to making a reality. As a matter of fact if you look around diferent parts of the property in th World you'll spot footings for monerail lines that never happened or just haven't happened yet!The question shouldn't be which is more likely to happen but which will happen first. It really all depends on how things are going for Disney in the future i.e. attendance etc...

Both ideas may be just that right now..ideas but they're such good ideas that I can't forsee them never happening.

im going for the DISNEY studios and AK happening FIRST lol ,,,,,,

I can see (and hope that) the expansion to MGM and AK happening first, but I wouldn't rule out a monorail stretching all the way to Orlando Internation as impossible. It would be a GREAT idea.

I think the monorail line extension from Orlando Int. Airport to WDW would get too much opposition from Mears, Florida Town Car, Tiffiany Town Car, etc. I see Disney connecting MGM & AK first.

i think Disney will get lazy and wait for the 5th gate to open, and then connect the 5th gate, MGM, and AK all at once

I dont think you will ever see a monorail go from the airport to Disney...why? Because you have to pass..uh..other theme parks...on the way...not to mention countless billboards etc...

As for the MGM/AK (and you forgot downtown) expansion...very possible...just not in the next 5 years...

I'M CURIOUS!, Where have you seen monorail footings at Disney. I'd like to check them out sometime. How Obvious are they?

They could always cover up windows and show a Disney vacation video. Like all the stuff you can do in WDW. This way they won't have to worry about people seeing outside.

I would LOVE a monorail from the airport to WDW! I just love getting onto the little monorail when we arrive - it makes me know that we are nearly there!
