Nothing has been announced, and they doesn't appear to be any construction equipment, so I wouldn't think much of it. The area could just be reserved for something in the future, or I could just be an empty field.

From the position, near the shark reef, it might be a new backstage facility for animal care, or merely a cast nuilding of some sort, like those little sheds you see becoming more permanent.

Could have been an area where they stored constuction vehicles and building materials for the Crush n' Gusher. They probably figured to leave it unfinished, being no one could see it from in the park.

Isn't that the overflow parking? A few years ago, the main parking lot was full, so they were parking people in a field behind the parking lot, it was PACKED! (sorry, the link isn't working for me).

Hey thanks for sharing that image with us! This is the first time I've seen Windows imagery and I am impressed! This is the first time that I have gotten to see overhead pictures of Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios! I like how you can click around the everest area and watch the building progress, because the pictures weren't all taken at the same time. I also like the updated pictures of Universal Studios, the ones from Google Earth show Shrek as being its old Hitchcock attraction and Mummy is still Kong.
