Yeah, I heard about this a couple of months ago. However I also couldn't find a ride concept either. If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.

The basic concept for Monsters Inc: Mike and Sully to the Rescue is that is starts in Monstropolis just after Boo has been spotted in the Monster realm, and you are driving in cars all over Monstropolis trying to find her or something like that. There's some really good concept art at http://www.fabsfaves.com . It almost looks like it's Disney's version of Men In Black: Alien Attack in the sense that they're using 3-D figures and animatronics instead of flat, card-board cut-outs. I'm very excited for this ride :D

It sounds exciting! Only makes me want to go to Disneyland even more!
I always wondered why they didn't do more then a Meet and Greet with Monsters Inc.

The track and building will remain as is, and they have started gutting the old sets several months ago. That's why it won't take long to build...

It blows my mind that they plan on completing this attraction in under 7 months.

700th post!!! 300 more till a thousand!

They've already been working on this for several months, in an existing building that already has a working ride system and vehicles.

This Monsters Inc. ride replaces Superstar Limo, which was easily the WORST attraction at any Disney theme park ever. Superstar Limo operated less than a year, from February 2001 to early January, 2002 before it was shut down. The building has been sitting there ever since, and rumors began leaking out on other websites about a year ago that the new Disneyland executive team had plans for a snazzy Monsters Inc. dark ride.

The vehicles themselves will be redressed with a different look, but the basics are all still there and ready to go. They just have to create and install all of the new sets and decorations, and that's something they do up in Glendale and then truck down the freeway to Anaheim for installation.

Looking at the concept art etc it looks like this is going to be the return of a Disney classic dark ride. I really think Matt Outimet has his head screwed on and knows exactly how to deliver for the Disneyland guests.... and guests mean money. Its a win win situation.

First redo of JIYI might make an argument for that one.
